KC says Miller likely to be out for 3 weeks. Sowerby and Sheehan could be ready in 1 week.

With emphasis on 'likely to be' and 'could be'. Recent injury updates seem to have been optimistic.

I notice that KC gave no update on Pollock who has been out all season. Also Arnold, not sure what's wrong with him, probably a bruised ego.

So frustrating!
If we can’t get Sheehan fit for potentially our 2 most important games of the season what’s the bloody point of him?
I think the blokes a class act and brings us so much with his leadership on the pitch as well but it’s a lot of fuss and pain for half a dozen games a season!
The only silver lining on this particular dark cloud is the way our back 3(5) played on Saturday. I’m just worried Mssrs Horsfall and Bolger go AWOL again on Tuesday / Saturday?!

Sheehan is turning into a false hope, frankly another piss poor signing, doesn't matter how good he could be, he's never fit long enough to make a long term impact. Should have let him go in January,  waste of a squad place.

Fair point. As good as they are the older player takes a lot longer to heal. Then when fit you can’t rush them back too soon in case they breakdown!

Spot on, sums up my feelings Jim, it’s like having a new Porsche 911 turbo S with no engine, pointless.

Real shame about Sheehan. A bit like McCormack last year but even more injury prone it seems. Hindsight is a wonderful thing though. I'm sure KC wouldn't have taken him on if he'd known he'd miss most of the season. On the other hand, players of Sheehan's pedigree only come to clubs like the Cobblers when they're getting on and/or injury prone. If he'd stayed fit we'd all be saying it was a masterstroke by KC to sign him. It's the risk you take and this time it doesn't seem to be working. Mind you, if he gets to play 10 games between now and the end of the season he could still be the difference between us going down or staying up.

While I understand people’s frustrations but even with hindsight I think I’d have kept him on as the club has done on a player coach role. I feel the impact he can have in the dressing room as well as his know how to organise the defence in a coaching role could be vital in bringing up the performances of the other defences. Then on the seemingly rare occasions he does play he raises the level of the team. With the spaces still in the squad I think KC still had the opportunity to bring in another CB if he felt the right player was there who he thought would have improved the team, there seems little point though in signing a player on a similar level to what we have already.

I agree since Sheehan came in we have reduced the number of goals we concede both with him on and off the pitch, this also has a lot to do with better defenders such as Jones and Kioso.
The problem for us now is at the other end, it’s scoring goals, we are the league’s lowest scoring team and I’m really not sure Edmundson is the answer.
Maybe a player coach in that area would help, like in rugby with forwards and backs coaches.

Perhaps we should have said the same to McWilliams then? He was out for a long time. Injuries do happen! Unfortunately, we seem to be particularly 'unlucky?' with new players getting injured.

I think Hoskins has already received coaching from the Saints try conversion coach.  Sad Sad Sad
