Or BAS, he must surely be carrying an injury?
He came on last night.

What a load of bôllôx about Kabamba he’s was rested, he’s played one game for 70 mins in two weeks WTF. Piss poor excuse IMO.

Oh no he didn’t………..in panto style. He looks so disinterested after the first minute he’s on the pitch.

"Nicke has played almost every minute so far this season so it was just a chance to bring him out and give him a bit of break, which is something we're able to do with the squad we've got." Clearly not something we are able to do as we lost and needed a striker who has a better strike rate of 0-30.

My first thought was "Is he being sarcastic?" but I chose to take the question at face value. BAS I used to think had something of an attitude problem but this season he just doesn't look good enough. A loan to Bedford, Corby or perhaps Rushden (a team at that level) might help him and us one way or the other.

I think he’d struggle to get in a decent Sunday side.

https://www.ntfc.co.uk/news/2021/august/mills_300821/As stated in another thread, not a 'nice' injury that. Normally a lot of ligaments that complicate the recovery.

It is always a bad sign when they add a 'y' on the end of a name. It suggests they are being over-friendly in a patronising way. Happens a lot in the military.

Just as he was starting to find some decent form as well! I’m not sure he’s ever lasted more than a handful of games in a row for us without getting injured, so luckily we have a good replacement in Koiki. Get well Mills, take your time and don’t rush it.

Crikey Mysterious you've quickly changed your opinion of Mills " pity as he was just starting to find some decent form". After the Rochdale game you said you had watched him 30 times and he along with McGowan should be nowhere near the first team (has he actually played 30 games for us with the 2 injuries he had last seaso ?). Since the Rochdale game he had only played in the AFC Wimbledon game before saturday so presumably he found this "decent form" in that one game and that was enough for you to change your opinion of him that you had formed in these previous 30 games, surely it was just a blip and he would he would soon have reverted to type.

No sarcasm, just telling it as it is.
Blimey oap. My first post was sarcasm. To confirm, Mills has never and will never find decent form. I wish him all the best in his recovery, but if he could stretch it out for a long as possible that would be great.

I think you are being over critical of Mills, also McGowan. Mills has had a decent career and clearly our management do not hold similar views to your own otherwise they would not have made him captain because you expect your captain to be in your starting 11 so they had no concerns about his ability. He was also made captain at FGR.

On Saturday Mills made a brave interception with a tackle which forestalled a dangerous Crawley breakaway. That interception led to a serious injury for Mills. Now you claim sarcasm as an excuse to now confound us all with quote " To confirm, Mills has never and will never find decent form. ...sic but if he could stretch it out for a long as possible that would be great" - end quote. To me that seems a pretty mealy mouthed way to treat an NTFC player who was injured in action for the team. Pretty nasty comments you make in support of your anti -NTFC player agenda.

From what I have seen of Mills so far this season (Vale/Col U/Crawley) I have not generally been impressed .. busy, but gives the ball away far too cheaply.
However, that tackle at Crawley was brave and, from what I could see from the away end, quite possibly a goal saver. I wish him well on his road to recovery and applaud his commitment to the cause.
