"he's one of our own"

Congrats Shaun, thoroughly deserved lad!

Great potential to really make a name for himself in the game...

Well done all, Shaun for establishing himself and earning the deal and Jimmy/KT/5USport for getting him tied down.

If he does turn into a superstar, at least we won't lose him for nothing.

Excellent news, as I have said before on here is clearly has talent by the fact that Wilder, Page, Edinburgh and now Jimmy have shown faith in him.

Excellent news. We failed to do this too many times in the past.

So wheres he going? Peterborough I heard for an undisclosed £300,000.
Only joking, what an exciting young player.

Love a three year deal. Hope he continues to improve at the rate he has been. Could be a very important player for us.

Why not? Lower league clubs have to speculate. As long as we get a decent price for a very good talent. And dont sell him on the cheap like Ivan Toney.

That’s great news
He’s the best player to come from the youth team for some time .

I haven't seen any enoug of joey to prove he is a league player, scored in pre season doesn't really mean anything. I'm not saying he wont but I don't get all the excitement about him yet.

This lad though has a head beyond his years and looks a real class act , not as skillful but he looks better than Jacobs and Hornby in their first few games. Probably more comparable to Hornby but to say he looks like a contender for our midfield after the summer of recruitment is a testament to how far he has come in a short period.

I suspect he will have a good season and will sadly be leaving us to move up the pyramid within two years.
