A little 'Ricky-esque' maybe, and 2 years younger too...   Wink

Suprised he hasnt been snapped up sooner. Maybe his wage demands are high.
I guess Crooks is out for a while then?

I remember him scoring past us and I think he got the assist for a last minute equaliser at the City ground many moons ago.

Pleased with this signings and hopefully have a bit more craft in and around the box.

If he is half as good as he was at Forest then he will be our best player.

Sounds like we’ve got ourselves a bit of a maverick - a lot of the feedback from SW fans on their forum sounds like what Portsmouth fans were saying about Ricky. Like drilling says it could go either way but this is real last chance saloon for him - if he doesn’t get his head right here there’s nowhere to go.

I'm sure there is still Mansfield as an option if it fails here.

There isn't really anything to lose with a signing like this, his past form shows he's hugely talented. We're desperate for goals, he offers that threat.

It's a short term deal, he's playing to win himself a contract here or somewhere else so has to show some quality to do so

What an exciting signing .
Not a forward or wide player , but hey he scores goals .
We have so many midfield players it’s untrue .
On a separate note Rickie lambert has retired which should shut anyone up that wants another dinosaur in

I've had a bit of a whatsapp conversation with my friend who's an avid Wednesday supporter. Apparently he was always up against it and often split fans opinion being on a rumoured £20,000 a week and not producing the goods consistently (despite being a 1 in 4 midfielder). He was signed with the fans being told they were signing one of the best players outside the premiership which resulted with inevitable disappointment.

Either way, he said he's on a different level to us and no idea what he's doing here ...

Fully expect McGugan see's this as putting himself in the shop window for January. If he scores us some much needed goals, I'm sure none of us will mind.

Did he leave SW prior/on 31st August? Sounds if he did but the Chron Article said released end of last month; perhaps I didn't read it correctly.

Midfield options of JJOT, Grimes, Poole, Mcgugan, Foley, Crooks, Bowditch, Kasim, Mcwilliams is pretty insane.

Maybe we are trying for a starting 11 of midfielders. There's some wasted wages in that lot at the moment.

Welcome Lewis, can we have some goals please?

Well seeing as we've signed him, it's fairly obvious he was released prior to the window shutting...

don't think it matters if he is out of contract does it!?

irrelevant though really, he has signed, and will be playing.

just behind revell or rico - so he can also watch as they miss chance after chance.

He was released on 31st August before window closed.

Like any signing, you can't really judge it until he's played a few games, but on paper it looks like a good one for us. Let's hope it leads to better results that the other exciting signings we've made this year have got us so far.
