So, just to flip the other thread round, I'm going to make myself look a plum here....

Us v Man Ure, FA Cup....

This oik playing on the wing, all step overs and got a tiny nudge in the back and went down like a sack of spuds for a penalty

What a diving one trick pony I thought, Ferguson has done his dough here....

But he turned out quite good didn't he, that Cristiano Ronaldo....

Maybe obvious...Lewis Moult.

Are you allowed to utter the words Ivan Toney around these neck of the woods?

Emyr Hughes; thought he was gash but I guess he's quite decent now. Oh, and Kemar Roofe.

Mat Sadler has consistently been higher in the leagues since his time with us. Didn't think he showed much during his time here to suggest such a lengthy career at a relatively high level.

Strange choice . Why did you think Holmes was going to be rubbish as a matter of interest ?

I thought Dominic Calvert-Lewin would go on to play at a decent level (higher than this level anyway) and possibly break into the Sheffield United team, but I never pictured him keeping Wayne Rooney out of a starting line-up within two years.

The only reason that he looked sh!t, was because Boothroyd decided to bypass the midfield, and hoof it at every available opportunity. I felt sorry for the lad, as he watched the ball sail over his head, time after time. I am a big England fan, and I really hope that Southgate gets it right.
I dont think I could cope with that wanker Boothroyd being promoted, if Southgate makes a complete f*** up of it in Russia.

Sam Parkin - he showed the odd glimpse but most of the time was pretty much a carthorse - went on to score about 1 in every 2 games for Swindon.

I think that its fair to say that, the careers of them both, went in different directions.

Steve Brown, thought it was a joke when we plucked him from the Sunday League and Irthliingborogh. Mind you didn’t Bobby Robson say he was the best amateur he’d ever seen? Anyway, he was terrific and Martin ONeill took him away to Wycombe where he played out the rest of his career as a corner stone of their midfield, shows you what I know. Great player Steve.

John-Joe O'Toole.

The guy was useless, one of the worst I'd seen given the build up and alleged fee.

Now, we've never needed him so much.

There are many examples of players becoming 'world beaters' whilst injured...
