I am actually stunned at how bad we are, to the point where I am wondering if there actually is a point in bothering to turn up

Buchanan came into the stand to speak to some fans upon the final whistle.....

Another loss and another goalless game, when are these easier games coming?

I'll wait to hear from those at the game but all this time without a goal, pretty clear whats needed. We could be 20 odd adrift by January....

If page had stayed for the season we would have gone down, maybe it's just been delayed a season but Page was awful.

I think we are all worrying too much
We have a decent manager and very talented players.
The only issue is that currently they have lost all footballing ability.
Once they realise that they need to recapture that ability we will be ok.
The fact that many around me were actually laughing at them should help them realise what's going on.
I'd like to add crooks and long sat near me weren't laughing, they rarely watched the match instead spending most of the time checking other football scores or playing games.
It seemed the last thing on their minds was anything cobblers related.

Logically, I know that somewhere in the Gary Johnson season, or in the second Boothroyd year, there was a football game that was worse than that. However, I must have just blocked it from my memory because I can't remember anything as bad as that ever. (I did however miss last weeks game fortunately).

the last 2 performances are amongst the worst I can remember in all the years I have followed the Cobblers. The players do not look fit and do not look interested. It is difficult to see where a goal is coming from, There is no fight or invention  in midfield and the defence is constantly under pressure and have to resort to belting the ball aimlessly forward. I had hoped that getting rid of Edinburgh might stop the malaise but it is obviously so deep rooted that it will take a miracle to sort this out. Hasselbaink has my sympathy but I doubt he will be able to prevent us from being seriously adrift by the time the transfer window opens, and even then what player in his right mind would want to come here.

When I say that I would love to have Liam Trotter as the boss of our midfield, this opinion involves a lot of depth.

Jimmy seemed happy with it - apparently it was 100% better than last week, the fact that Wimbledon were so poor doesn’t seem to have registered.
