Only plus at the moment is John Joe O'toole returning.
I'd place Smith left midfield and give him freedom to take on players. O'Toole back in midfield to provide ruggedness and then recall one/both of our young strikers.

Jimmy seemed happy with it - apparently it was 100% better than last week, the fact that Wimbledon were so poor doesn’t seem to have registered.
Yes, in his post match interview he said...and I quote...'I am happy with that performance'...... Anyone else happy with that today??

I think we are all worrying too much We have a decent manager and very talented players. The only issue is that currently they have lost all footballing ability. Once they realise that they need to recapture that ability we will be ok. The fact that many around me were actually laughing at them should help them realise what's going on. I'd like to add crooks and long sat near me weren't laughing, they rarely watched the match instead spending most of the time checking other football scores or playing games. It seemed the last thing on their minds was anything cobblers related.
Hahahahaha post of the f***ing year!!!

Meanwhile, Sheff Utd still going like a train and second in Championship. CW was probably the best manager we've ever had. Since then, three duffers.

It's got to be a case of just saying something publicly to protect the players a bit rather than anything he genuinely believes, surely?

In this kind of scenario surely it wouldn’t be too much to ask for the senior pros like bucks, Rico, jjot etc to call some kind of clear the air meeting with the squad where some home truths are laid down. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cobblers team so utterly lacking any confidence or willingness to do something positive that might mean losing the ball. It is so bad it’s frightening.

Whilst Jimmy isn't panicking neither should we. Good times may be just around the corner. Someone will tell the players it's gone beyond a joke and rather than revering them I myself am starting to pity them. Players who we know are much better are being made to go out on the pitch each week and embarrass themselves with their total lack of ability. Do they not wonder why the fans aren't angry or reactive in the stands?? It's because we are in shock and embarrassed for them. They can't even galvanise themselves to improve and show pride. Wake up lads People aren't laughing with you... They are laughing AT you.

Probably 2 of those 3 senior pros are the problem

There is no lack of ability, more a lack of application and a lack of tactical nous.
Why oh why did we hoof the ball up long every time when playing the two little 'uns today? Is that all we've got? Regardless of who's up front we just hoof it! That must come from the manager surely? Why do we still bring everyone back to defend a corner with 5 minutes to go at home when we are losing 1-0 to Wimbledon? That has to be the manager surely? Why oh why do we play two defensive midfielders in front of a bank of 4 defenders against a team playing one up top? That has to come from the manager surely?
I think that was absolute rubbish today.....two very poor teams battling it out to see who could play the worst....and yep we managed to win that one!!

I also feel that the performance was down to terrible tactics more than anything.

It pains me to say it but the club’s completely rotten at the moment.

Agree, this was a concerning statement, this was just as bad as last week bearing in mind the opposition, at least we had a 15 min good spell where we were on top last week, nothing today.

If I remember rightly Wimbledon scored with the only shot they had all game, which was of course enough to beat us . Frankly I cannot see us scoring a goal any time soon as nothing is working up front at all. Two big 'uns don't work and two little 'uns don't work, have we tried one of each ? I can't remember. Long should be back for Tuesday maybe him and Hoskins/Waters up front is worth a go, Richards won't be fit in time according to JFH. If all else fails let's try Pierre up front which JJ, something's got to change.
McGugan is nowhere near fit and shouldn't be starting in my opinion.

I can only summise that he's trying to retain what little confidence they have left. First half was as bad as last week - perhaps worse!

I think the idea was for the ball to hit open space down the channels and in behind for Hoskins and Waters to run onto, but no one seemed capable of that. No idea why he brings everyone back for set pieces, maybe with 5 mins to go it was to limit our losses. I thought he should have started with Poole and McWilliams as holding defensive midfielders and McGugan, Grimes and Bowditch behind Hoskins. Why did he replace Hoskins with Foley and why did he leave Smith on the bench? We miss Crooks badly. Wimbledon were a poor imitation of Bristol in their use of width and pace but they were still too good for us to beat today. Utter dross, don't know where we go from here.
