Thank you Mr Page and Mr Edinburgh for signing no strikers capable of scoring regularly in League 1.
Revell - runs in the wrong areas. Richards - unfortunately passed his sell by date, can not compete for a high ball. Waters - League 2 striker ..........at best Hoskins - was not a first choice striker when fit
Long - when fit the best of a bad bunch.
I am concerned after 600 minutes without scoring a goal, JFH still says his concern is 'we ship too many goals'. I thought you won games by scoring more goals than your opponents.
SOLUTION - Move January 1st to Monday next week because I have not a f*cking clue of any other solution!!!!!

No quality.....up front, from out wide, or in the middle. 7 and a half games since a Cobblers player scored a goal.....getting on for 12 hours.

Whilst getting a decent striker will help, it's not the complete answer. A striker can only score if we make chances and at the moment we don't make any. We have no width, no ball winner and no creativity in midfield. Some may think that O'Toole will be the answer but on his own he is only part of the solution. The army of midfielders signed by Edinburgh are simply not good enough. We need to get rid of a large part of the squad in January and bring in players who will fight for the cause if they can be persuaded to come here. In the meantime JFH needs to get them fit and motivated.

Just annoying that we go with Revs and Richards and then when we are forced to change it, neither of them are available and we have to go with two midgets up front, yet we still knock the same balls to them that we knock up to Revs. It's all well and good everyone saying we need another striker but until January we are stuck with what we have. For me when all are available, I'd go with Revs and Hoskins up front together, with smith and long as out and out wingers.
Problem is added to that we have about 200 centre midfielders at the club.

Hoskins is never going to be the player to save us, he just isnt that good. Revell, Richards, Buchs are past their best, alot of the others players signed are not good enough. A team does not end up 23rd in the table, not scoring goals, just because a few players are having an off day. If JFH can get us to stay up, he going to need a minimum 2 forwards, 2 midfield and a commanding centre half. If not then relegation is certain.

All this bucks is past his best how often is he beaten by anyone the problem is all the crap in midfield who are not good enough and get overran and outplayed all the time the same players who are too lazy to tackle and chase back, if they don't do there job you'll concede goals or is that to hard to understand.

I'm not sure what our strongest starting eleven is with everyone fit.

My opinion is the same as yours. The lack of quality wingers is so blatant in our squad... must be so easy to set up against us.

So which of our strikers is going to score our goals then? Reason we never get anywhere is because we never sign an out and out goalscorer.

If the service is decent, having one of Rico and Revs on the pitch would get into double figures I'm fairly certain. And if I recall correctly, 15/16, only two players got into double figures. Helps having a host of players chipping in with goals, than just one-20+ striker, which are few and far between.

Correct, only two players did get into double figures in the league....Richards 15 and O'Toole 12. Holmes scored 9 in the league plus another two in cups. We did have some prolific loanees in that squad though.....Collins 8 from 21, Marquis 6 from 15 and DCL 5 from 20 (only 7 starts)

Hoskins to me isn't a striker. His best performances for this club have been when given a free roll (from midfield) to run at defenders and exploit spaces. His 'finishing' has actually been the element that has let him down historically...
