Ex-Cobblers youth player from Walgrave Fraser Hornby starts for Everton against Apollon Limassol this evening. I hope he has better luck with fitness than Lewis.(BT Sport 6pm).

I very much doubt this . The family were not enamoured with Lewis’ medical treatment at the time on behalf of the club , rightly or wrongly .

This has been alluded to before on here - I think it would be a bit harsh to bear a grudge when there's no one left at the club from when Lewis was here - if we offered him a regular starting position that would give him experience and develop his career I can't see Fraser or Everton saying no. Having said that it's pretty irrelevant as we're going to need some kind of proven experience in January and I think it's also fair to say that if he did come there would be every chance that his confidence could be destroyed by the lack of service he would likely get.

If he gets 60 games for them he will become that £1 million player for us finally, but getting only a million for someone who plays a season and half of premiership football will look terrible in hindsight.
