A dreadful player.Looks nervous, doesn't want the ball, leggy and why was Ingram told to kick his goal kicks to him to head on when he looks incapable of heading a football.
At least he did have our one good shot in the first half so maybe i am wrong.

I said on Saturday when I saw the team that the only reason Powell was playing, and would play 90 minutes, was his height and so we could aim goal kicks at him. Which is odd given he's not great in the air. In the face of stiff competition I think Powell has been the biggest disappointment of the season so far. That said he has been shunted around from wing back, to left wing, to right wing and constantly in and out of the side, it can't be helpful, particularly when trying to get used to a new set of players. |

It takes a lot for me to get outwardly angry at our own players but I must confess I completely lost my rag with Powell during the first half when he was one on one with the defender at the byline and failed to cross it. Absolutely appalling. 2 year contract as well  Completely agree. I don't like to single out anyone in a claret shirt, but Powell tipped me over the edge on Sat! The lack of effort is most noticeable defensively. There were a number of times that their left back picked the ball up just past half way and had as much time as he wanted to pick a pass. It wasn't that Powell was out of position, he just couldn't be bothered to take five paces to close the ball down. Only winger we have or not, I'd get him out and play Waters or Hoskins on the right. Smith on the left. |

Not only is he useless going forward , he is an absolute liability defensively .
Who exactly was responsible for recruiting Powell , Kasim and Bowditch ?
Was it Melville or JED ? None of these players are anywhere near good enough at this level .
Add to that question marks over half a dozen of the others and it’s not a pretty picture .

I must admit Pierre has lost all of his footballing ability at the moment.
Can't he,Powell,bowditch etc do something else around the club to earn their wages?
Bit of painting around the ground.
Help the groundsman
Sell a few programmes.
Same for the injured Herbert's in the stand who aren't interested and couldn't care less.
Get them doing something!!
A radical but I dare say very effective way to get players to remember what they are being paid to do.
I'd say the ability would soon return and injuries clear up quicker....
Oh and one more thing....
If I'm lucky enough to sit near messrs long and crooks next home match and they show next to no interest in the team,colleagues and fans(not even showing a flicker of emotion when we have chances) I will take your mobile phones and stick them up your arse sideways in an attempt to help you regain interest in Northampton town football club.
If you can't show any interest/emotion what message does that send out!!!
If I was your manager you'd be in the bollocking room and I'd make sure you got behind your team mates rather than checking the football scores every five minutes....
It's not as if your allowed to bet on them anyway is it....? |

Well our best players are loan players and the majority of ours are s***. I'd say we need a rebuild! More likely to happen in the summer. |

I remember reading on the MK forum, about Powell when we first signed him. Most of them were keen to see the back of him, but one point stood out. That is, its not that he wont head the ball, he quite simply cannot do it. As you say, he is incapable of doing so. |
