He still does not really utilise his pace and size which should be his biggest attributes, still he looked to cut in and shoot a few times which is a positive, I guess he is better suited to the left if he is going to do that.

Powell clearly has the physical attributes to be a very dangerous player at this level. He also has a very dangerous shot on him, as evidenced by his goal on Saturday and his one moment of quality against Wimbledon.

I suspect, however, that his natural position is as one of the inside forwards in a 4-2-3-1 rather than as an out-and-out winger. As others have said, he looks a lot more dangerous when cutting inside than when he tries to get to the by-line and get a cross in.

If he's coached properly and put into the correct system he could be a very dangerous player for us. The comparison is extremely far-fetched, but Ricky Holmes is another wide player who, by his own admission, is not a great crosser of the ball but started to excel when given licence to cut inside in a 4-2-3-1.

Im glad that the fruit machine finally paid out on Saturday. We've not had a fruit machine in the team since Darren Carter, he did alright after 3 months of utter dross. I live in hope!
