Exactly, if you don't want to go to the game it doesn't matter how cheap it is, you won't bother. After all you are giving up an afternoon of your time, it's not like buying a burger on sale.  If you do want to watch it then the price isn't much of an issue. Research has shown many people book or turn up to games not knowing how much it is.

Yes, at Colchester today...£17!  Grin

I had a different view of the game this week from behind the goal in the North as opposed to on the halfway line in the East, was a nice change.

The stand was empty though, I really thought more would have attended but I suppose playing a fellow L1 team in the cup on a cold, slightly rainy Saturday afternoon in November was a bit much to ask.

We didn't play badly, McGugan really stood out and look a hell of a lot fitter this time round. Definitely would like to see more of him. JJ seems to have taken up the the Rico/Revs hoofball role and won a lot of his headers/flicks but worryingly now has a knock. Powell was improved for the third time in a row, hopefully he is finding some form but I wish he would get the ball to the byline instead of cutting back onto his right so much.

We huffed and puffed a lot, should have scored three or four but they did miss a couple of sitters in the first half as well. The ref did his best to spoil everything, I don't think I have ever been to a game with so many free kicks given and for some reason these did not translate to yellow cards until people got kicked in the head....

We are solid again now, can take pride in a clean sheet but I am not sure Long up front on his own is the answer unless we can supply him.

I would like to see McGugan share dead ball situations with Grimes after his efforts yesterday.

Powell did well yesterday, at least 3 or 4 decent delivery's in the first half, Scunny realised this and every time he got the ball in the second half he was immediately crowded out by two or three of their players...
McGugan was a class above yesterday appearing to stroll through the game, especially the first half, he seemed to have more time when in possession than anyone else.  His dead ball delivery was Matt Tayloresque with more power.

Much better from McGugan but tired in 2nd half so reducing his impact.  As he tired we faded badly.  If we get McGugan up to a proper level of fitness he will be a very good signing for us. Agree Powell is improving & well done him and JFH. I thought we had signed a duffer until recently. Good to be wrong.

It will be interesting to see how Crooks and McGugan fit into midfield with JJOT but then you have Powell, McWilliams, Poole & Grimes. Not sure which is the best formation. A nice problem for JFH to have in the coming weeks.
