The Bob a Job Cup, or as our own manager calls it- "The Check-a-Trophy".

Grimes and McGuggan changed the game, but for a very decent debut I’m going McGiven.

Really? Genuine question. I wasn't there but I'm surprised in a game in which we conceded three and he missed a penalty that he was MOTM

Exactly mine too, when we've been keeping clean sheets in league matches then ship three against a team of kids.

Thought he looked the best of the starting 11, maybe Cornell and Kasim were close. Thought McGiven looked neat and tidy and a very decent option as a back up CB. Never like giving MOTM to subs playing 25mins, each to their own.

First off- brilliant game and the best comeback I've seen from the Cobblers. It might have been a Checkatrade match but it was still a great performance in the last 20 minutes to get ourselves out of trouble.
Three standout performances for me- Crooks, Grimes and McGugan.
For his absolute peach of a goal, I'm going for McGugan.

Until the last 25 mins it would have been hard work to select anybody. McCugan when he came on actually the changed the game! Over 90mins - Taylor

Taylor for his 90 minute performance but Grimes and McGugan did change the game.Funny how we all see players differently as I thought McGivern looked avarage at best and cant see him pushing Pierre out the team.

I too thought McGivern looked a bit ordinary and hardly deserved the accolade of MOM plus a bottle of champers. I suppose for first competitive game for some time to soon to judge. Also Barnett now in training again!

Isn't strange how we all see games differently, I agree about Cornell, I've never been a fan of his but I thought he had a good game last night. McGiven, I thought was average but I thought Kasim was dreadful, every ball went backwards or sideways and he looked really slow. Like I say, we all see things differently. MOM McGugan
