Smith going was an excellent move for all concerned .
So many of our players under JED were and are division 2 standard . That’s why we struggled .
JFH praises everyone that goes out the door BTW - it’s the professional thing to do .
JFH says a lot of things but his actions thereafter are what I would take note of .

Can non league clubs still make loan signings? If so, I wouldn't be surprised to see lobjoit and Hanley go out.

I believe so, including the conference. They certainly could once the summer window shut.

Smith is a youngster who has good potential for the future, not the finished article but would have been a better asset than Buchanan, I don't believe he would have been allowed to go if Buchanan had been offloaded.
Hopefully he gets the chance to play regularly for the Spirerites.

I agree with that.
He kick started the first brief JFK revolution with that touchline run and cross, and must be dissapointed he didn't get more opportunities while Jimmy was employing that rotational thing on the lhs.

Described as an attacking full back....I'd guess not.

I wonder why no one gambled on McGugan in the window ...
He wasn’t a bad player for us overall , even though you have to say he was disappointing

Any one can sign him at any time, we released him before the window closed, I agree he was a talented player but there must be other problems with him.

Agreed. A team like Luton or Mansfield chasing auto's would seem an ideal destination.
