Any rumours on anyone leaving ?
If the likely candidates are Kasim , Bowditch , Revell , Hanley , Lobjoit , Coddington ,Rico , McGugan - I can’t see anyone taking a risk on any player except possibly Revell .
McGugan could go to a higher placed club now that we have paid for him to get fit .
The rest are just not good enough and most will be on good money ( coddington I reserve judgement on because I have never seen him play ).
You could probably add Waters to the above list .

I dunno. Many clubs make panic buys as the window nears closure especially when preferred targets have proved elusive.  This of course could apply to us and probably will. Although I agree that some of our hangers on might be difficult to shift.

Shay Facey has played 6 games in his entire career, we really don't need any more unproven kids
#skint

You may have a point as he is only 5' 8" and weighs 10st. Not sure if he is quite the full back we need?  Same height as Buchs who was easly knocked off the ball in recent games. Cant see JFH investing in Madden or Evans, maybe Hanson; suspect JFH is looking for suitable players not busted flushes.

The best transfer window I can remember in terms of results was Maloney, Holmes, Taylor, who came and turned us around. None of them were playing for teams of our stature, so while I can understand scepticism I don’t see any use in writing off anyone who’s not had a game.

Would want to see some experienced players coming in. Not 20 somethings who haven't made it elsewhere, we are in the mire and need seasoned professionals to get us out of it.

Holmes came from Portsmouth, a club most would argue has more stature than us

Going out on a limb, but my gut feel is that the defence needs sorting out first ? Is Ingram good enough, not sure on the current full backs, is Taylor, Poole or Pierre up to it. JFH says we are ok for midfielders ! A winger or two and a Striker. The trouble is we need players now not end of Jan.

Seems Bury are getting their business done nice and early...Hanson & Peter Clarke set to sign
Just the type of experience needed to try and get out the mire...although still a big ask

Just on a side note. Radio Northampton after the game yesterday...Olglethorpe came to the conclusion Buchs was on the bench as he could be a target for Sheff U...what an absolute bell!

Buchs has served us well but time has caught up with him and he's no longer good enough for L1 imo let alone Championship level.

.........................would argue? Blimey Pompey is a famous club and in comparison we are but a modest Club. Our only real claim to fame is reaching League 1 over 50 years ago. Better than most L1 and L2 clubs tho'.

Bloody Wilder didn't play him and then let him go. Awful manager.
