I'd like to see someone come in that can play up top with Long, so we can get JJOT back in midfield. We need a destroyer who will win the ball.  When was the last time Crooks or Grimes won a crunching tackle? Don't bother thinking, it's never happened.

Totally agree - one problem is that jjot is still looking some way from full fitness, I just hope he doesn't break down again.

Go on Frank ; don't wait, but demand  Wink

Nothing wrong with using a small amount of decorum . It's what separates myself from some others Tony as I am sure you would agree.

I agree with Manwork04's assessment of Facey's performance today and agree that a Bradford team will ask a few more questions than a Southend team heading to L2. The back header about 10 minutes in was not great and he obviously and understandibly started to tighten up near the end but competent in between.

Looks to me that we may be seeing a change of the guard. Moloney (assuming Philips is fit before end of Jan), Barnett, one of Revell or Rico, Buchanan all look vulnerable as well as Bowditch & Kasim.  One of the loanees may also have to make way for new blood. QPR may recall Ingram.

I don’t understand why qpr would want to recall Ingram - he’ll still be third choice behind smithies and lumley and neither of them are injured as far as I am aware. At least with us he is getting games unless he or qpr fancies another loan elsewhere.

Abdenasser El Khayati

JFH had him at Burton & took him to QPR

He said after the game yesterday he would be bringing in more experience this week...

Rumour came from that Graham Martin fella on Twitter, so take it with a pinch of salt I guess

BREAKING: Cobblers are interested in signing Dutch forward Abdenasser El Khayati, from Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag. Deal expected to be completed in the coming week

Unfortunately I think this is a 2+2=5 situation - he’s playing regularly for den Haag who are in the UEFA cup places, has a contract until June 2020 and would probably cost well over a million.

I'll stick my Gregory Peck out and say we'll sign Shay Facey, Hildeberto Pereira and Bridge before Saturday.

I don't know where you get your info from, but congratulations on being spot on.

Was "linked" with us when JED was here as he had him on loan when at gillingham - a big no thanks from me, massive attitude problem by all accounts and a disruptive influence - plus he doesn't score many goals and hasn't played for god knows how long.

On J E-T his record is 24 in 82 at Bristol city and 7 in 28 more recently at gillingham. On paper that is far better than either rico or revs would provide. Cannot comment on attitude as don't know him.

I would say unlikely tho.

On paper, that's only marginally better than Revell. As back up to offer Long some competition/rotation he might be okay.

I'd like to think we can do a lot better - his loan spell at gillingham got terminated due to his attitude problems and just doing a brief google on his name shows that he is doing likewise at QPR.

Revell 10 in 45 for us, 28 in 150 for Rotherham, j e-t is far better on paper. Attitude maybe a different story
