McGivern must have been absolutely rubbish to have been released without any centre half cover at all , even though it was the end of the short term contract .
He must have someone lined up pretty quickly .

Could be a handy loan replacement for Pierre.

Think he’s right back so maybe we were pre-Foley.

Are you sure about this player as the font of all knowledge on here seems to suggest that he is not quite we want!

He's played for England at every age level and is a great prospect at centre back.
I'm biased but anyone on Villa's books is a great player in my eyes. It looks like we may lose out to Oldham though.

Was randomly looking at where people from the 11-12 season are now , and noticed that Ben Harding is also at Truro

Perhaps JFH is planning ahead for next season. I think our current players / loanees can cover some of the positions as it stands but priority before the end of January should be at least 1 x striker, 1 x left winger and a centre back

                                             O'Donnell
                                             Coddington

Facey                      Taylor                  NEW SIGNING     NEW SIGNING
NEW SIGNING     Barnett                      Pierre                         Smith

                                  O'Toole            NEW SIGNING (Grimes)
                                   McWilliams              Foley

NEW SIGNING (Perieria)          Crooks                                NEW SIGNING
Hoskins                                      Bridge                               Powell

NEW SIGNING - NEW SIGNING (Long)
                                          Waters - NEW SIGNING

Cornell, Buchanan, Moloney, Phillips, Hanley, Richards, Revell = released
Kasim, Bowditch, Lobjoit, Iaciofano = moved on

If that is a summary of what you believe JFH's thoughts to be then you've got O'Toole in the wrong place, he's shown no desire to play him deeper despite most of us lot thinking he's better there.

Would he not keep Moloney / Phillips and Buchs as backup to new first choice full backs, or do we think they wouldn't stay / would be too expensive as a backup?

Also, if we are playing a solo striker would we want 4 in the squad? 3 would probably be sufficient with maybe Iaciofano as a cheap wild card backup if he progresses?
