He would make a massive positive difference to our defence.

Anyone know if we've got a sell on clause for Ricky Holmes?

I would have hoped so, but anyone know for sure? Any idea how much charlton might get for him?

Great player. What a guy. Didn't he score 4 in a friendly?

Ricky has been withdrawn from the charlton squad 2mow was pictured at a bar adjacent to the ground and at the game 2nite (Sheff derby). So if it hasn't happened already it looks like it's imenent

Agree, if we sign Bunny/or a new left back, then Buchs will probably be told he can leave. Turnbull can also cover at left back if needed....

Bunny is out of contract in the summer having turned down a new 2 year deal in the summer (sheff u were intrested at that point) so if we go back in there is a decent chance this might happen

I'm quite happy to sign anyone Wilder has been interested in recently. Seems to have worked with 'Berto.

Think Bunny will goto a bigger team than us in the summer. Unlikely to trade L1 relegation candidates for another team in the same boat unless we offer silly money.

Do we know if Holmes or Concrete had sell on clauses? I honestly cannot think of us benefitting from a sell on clause previously.
Happy to stand corrected

Didn't we get something from Johnson and (possibly) Chambers?

Sorry I don't follow. He's turned down a new contract after having his head turned by a club who are top end of the Championship, but we, a team one place above Rochdaleat the foot of L1, have a decent chance of signing him?

The fact we bid suggests that we think we could get him to sign if we reached a offer Rochdale were happy with. I like the look of it in theory as it shows that we've done some reasonable research on targets and might have enough to be competitive in this tier - don't know how good a big the bid was though of course, obviously not enough for Rochdale to accept it.

The fact that they've made it public is probably because their trying to leverage our interest to attract bigger fishes, so they may be resigned to losing him at this point.

Reading the Rochdale fans forum it would appear that Bunny was excellent last season but his performances have dropped this season. A bit like Buchs then.

I don’t know why everyone is chirping about a Ricky Holmes sell on fee .
Number one , it won’t be disclosed if there is one .
Number two , it may well not going into a playing budget because I suspect things are kept quiet because a fair bit of squirrelling goes on, as is the owners perogative .

There should be a sell-on clause and the proceeds should be used towards signing that elusive striker which we have failed to do for 2 seasons. Let's not lose sight of the fact that we are woefully weak up front and that was identified by supporters a long time ago. Reading the comments here since the transfer window opened I think there are many quick to forget this in the excitement of other positions being filled.

money is your answer to that!

Also sounds like he has been a bit indifferent this year, may limit who comes in for him?

Both free transfers.

They were great young players. Even we aren't that bad at selling players. Both left for undisclosed money.

Holmes playing today at Gigg lane for Charlton so reports of his departure may be premature.

Billy Waters comes straight in to the Cambridge side for their game against Mansfield. Expect goals.
