A season too far for Rico. Plenty said it in pre season. Don’t blame him though, I would play for as long as possible if I was in his boots. Wonder where he will sit in the memory along side our other strikers in years to come? Personally I think he’s right up there with some of the best we’ve had, and it would be a shame if this last season were to tarnish that. Still, all the best and good luck to the lad I say.

Certainly one of the best. His rifled goal last season against Sheffield United at a very acute angle was quality. He's also scored more league goals than Revell.

Can we just support Sheff Utd now? If we squint, red and white could look a bit like claret...

Hope Rico comes back to the Club, to coach, after he finishes playing.

Why?

Apparently we've not agreed a fee with Rochdale for Joe Bunney.

Seems an odd priority now considering Turnbull did alright there by all accounts at the weekend.

He clearly wants (and needs) Turnbull to be a CB, didnt want to play Buchs and Smith is injured.
Imagine he'll move to CB with Taylor as soon as a new LB is in place.

Turnbull has been bought in at centre half
The fact he played full back instead of buchs speaks volumes.
I’d imagine if Bunney signs then Turnbull will play centre half with Regan Poole on the bench.
I’d imagine jimmys first priority is to get a settled goalie and defence that are contracted players.
His next priority being a much needed attacking boost.
I’m guessing from his recent quotes that he has someone in mind.
An experienced old head striker that could be a different class to league one.
I was thinking Jason cummings(now gone elsewhere) or as an outside bet Darren bent on loan(veteran but surely decent at this level)
Ages ago I heard rumours of Agbonlahor on loan....
I know it sounded far fetched as he would be on £££ but is a loan deal for a player who isn’t getting a game at villa totally unbelievable??
If villa were paying only ££ of the £££ and us the £ would they not let him go??
I’ve no inside info but surely these type of players who aren’t getting a game are worth loaning out to get a bit of money off the wage bill?

Where’s the money coming from.....
Have they suddenly sold a lot of signed coutinho Barcelona shirts??
Or are they banking on an increased demand for Perriera shirts Grin
I don’t know.
Maybe the uptake on the trip to England has been far greater than expected with 300,000 or so compatriots enquiring Grin

Maybe someone found a treasure chest in a hastily buried shallow plot in the locality of Sixfields?
