dont take it from me - ask JED and JFH - both of them didnt play him and swindon were happy to get rid.

we got promoted with ryan gilligan in the team - and he was dreadful

I work with a swindon fan and he warned us kasim only turned up for them when he felt like it or when he was coming to the end of his contract 90% of the time he was rubbish.

I guess he was right.

Doesn't make him a bad player does it? Swindon played him over 100 times. Jed signed him.
Not the best attitude and lack of fitness, yes.

We didn't get promoted with him 'in' the team. He was a sub for most of it.

He made some useful contributions like his winner at Wrexham.

And he also scored one of my favourite Cobblers goals with a late goal at Grimsby creating some calm scenes in the away end after.

That day was a classic....Grimsby already to celebrate with us in clinching the final auto promotion place...their fans thought they heard the final whistle but it was a corner to us............fans, stewards, balloons littering the pitch....THEN GILLY SCORES  Grin

Never laughed so much at the opposing fans in tears on the pitch. Wembley karma! Start of their decline to the conference...

Anyone got that clip?

Casey reckons we're just after a striker now, so the signing at 3.15pm must be it. This signing will show the intent of the club, I reckon it will be a quality signing!

Swindon played him over 100 times.

... and are now in League 2 as a result.

Have heard van Veen from Scunny mentioned a few times now (on here and through talking to other Cobblers fans). I believe he's out of contract in the summer so it could be a similar situation to what happened with Bunney:

1. He signs a new deal with Scunny
2. He sees out his contract and moves somewhere else for free in there summer
3. Scunny sell him to cash in if he doesn't sign a new contract

I suspect if it's option 3 then it won't happen until the end of next week but if it is i think it's worth waiting for.

Option 3 it is

A side issue; Andy Melville took some stick for the earlier squad players we signed, not Taylor, Crooks, Long and Grimes.

Now the list of quality players has been added to will previous posters change their mind?

Just over 31 hours to get the 10th and final player JFH is after... What a mad window!

Hopefully Rochdale scouted us a couple games back and don't have a clue who any of our players are...  Grin

Good signing, exactly what we have been after.

How refreshing for JFH to be able to go out and capture all of his targets.

I am sure some people will still be unhappy though.
