So will be play upfront with Long in a 4-4-2? Who is going to be dropped to accommodate him? I guess either Crooks or Grimes.

Was just wondering about this, I could see him dropping JJOT deeper and shunting Crooks out to the left but playing him quite narrow and having Bunney provide the width on that side.

To be fair we could probably easily pick 5-10 different ways of setting out and Jimmy will still come up with something different. We certainly have options now.

So, currently fit players who are unable to even make the bench squad we have:

Bowditch
Hanley
Kasim
Buchanan
Barnett
Lobjoit

With the arrival of Van Veen and Mathias I'd expect Revell to be added to that list.

I've excluded Bridge given he's only just arrived.

Wonder if we'll see any of these leave before 11pm tomorrow?

It will be an awful waste of the playing budget if we don't see some go. None of them seem to appeal to the manager.

Buchs may fancy an easy wage before winding down his career in league 2 or an early retirement.

We are currently spending £12k-£15k per week on non match day players. That’s around £750k per year, absolute madness.

I thought Jimmy said he wanted 4 strikers - with revs gone we’re back to 3?

Unless you count O'Toole as a striker considering he's playing there

I would say that’s a good signing for Stevenage .
Who is going to be our 4th striker ? Probably now need a traditional 6 footer with power .

That striker you're describing is Van Veen. Don't expect any more strikers to join.
