Is anyone else as bored as I am with the whole thing? By thing I mean... The staduim situation. The constant yo yoing. The fact that we have to wait 30 years for an half decent side, then in 30 minutes to see it taken apart. I'm even struggling to write this

If I knew I had to wait 1 month or 1 year for a decision from the council then I would put up with it BUT it is the not knowing way we just have to bounce along the bottom being totally out of the loop!
I also feel KT could publish a plan for the Stadium, with the previso that it is conditional on the hoped for decision from the Council........................ie some positive news!!!

Didn't he say they'd been given some papers? All a bit Cardoza esq really isn't it.. things are apparantly progressing but we see zero proof of this.

Didn't we achieve what we did on the pitch inspite of the 'stadium situation'?..

I didn't say it has. I just said I was bored of it all. I didn't even blame KT about the stadium. I'm pretty sure he's as bored as me.

Ah, i see. I have absolutely no insider knowledge of the inner workings of NTFC or the council, but if i believe what i read, I'd guess pi@@ed off is a far better description of KTs current mindset re stadium development. I'm like you though, indifferent to it. By contrast however, I'm managing to retain a fairly keen interest in on field affairs, be they good, bad or ugly.

I think it’s the football. If we were flirting with the play offs and scoring a few goals then the rest disappears to the background. In general, it’s been boring in relative terms since I was in my teens and we were garbage then. We just never seem to go anywhere in the cycle of football, whilst the likes of even Yeovil and Burton get moments of glory. I guess we did once but most of the fans who witnessed that are either getting on or no longer with us. I hope my highlights weren’t Graham Carr, Calderwood, Wilder and co. Having said that, a go in the Championship may not turn into the holy grail. That aside, UTC

One have bins to collect, property to maintain and roads to fix the latter to find real investment that can build up the clubs infrastructure? What a mess.

IMO it’s all a question of perspective and degree. Everton fans could argue for decades they yo-yo between mid table and a relegation fight? They have their odd moment in the sun like qualifying for Europe last year and the Howard Wilkinson 80s side but that’s it. Years of stagnation going nowhere. Look at Villa, Leeds, the Sheffield clubs? If you listen to Liverpool fans on 606 without a title in 20 odd years and still in the same old under developed ground they sound worse than us? What you describe is the reality of the life of the vast majority of football fans. So why bother? Well the emotional experience of 86-87 will live with me till the day I die, as will Shrewsbury 94 and 15/16. Within all the desperation and gloom there lies some of the greatest memories of our lives. Hopefully it is those times that makes it all worth it? That is unless you support Barcelona, who have spent so long at the top their fans will never feel the once in a lifetime sensation of massive over achievement? Our day will come again soon.

The laws of probability mean that we’ll score a goal again at some point. 86/87 was certainly very special.

You're dead too long to waste time being bored. if it seriously bores you, find something that doesn't. Perhaps cosplay, jogging, cinema, etc?

I didn't mean all three at once. That would be strange.

Darlington, Stockport County, Aldershot, Hereford Utd, Torquay etc... Their supporters probably all wish they could be as bored as us...
