We could do with the weather being kind to us and calling off a few games between now and the end of January. It has been kind in previous years when we've been in a relegation battle. The Torquay game under Wilder a prime example.

Trying my best to be positive but just cannot see how things are going to change unless:

* JJOT is magically restored to full fitness and his body is now invincible.

* We try another combination up front, preferably with Iaciofano amongst them (never going to happen).

* The midfield puzzle is solved and our "better" players click and put in a good shift together.

Other than this I think it will be a case of what we have seen since JFH took over, glimmers of hope amongst a lot of boring football that doesn't result in goals. If Powell is fit we would have at least one wide man that could make a difference but would still be playing someone out of position on the other side unless it is an attacking three (2 wingers, 1 striker or a 3 behind the striker).

                 Ingram

Moloney Ash Pierre (Barnett if not fit) Buchs

  McWilliams      Crooks        Grimes

  Hoskins           Long           Powell

or

                    Ingram

Moloney Ash Pierre (Barnett if not fit) Buchs

            McWilliams   Poole

      Crooks    McGugan   Grimes

                Powell or Long

If Hoskins and Powell are available and starting; I'll be putting money on a Cobblers win. Probably by a couple too.

I don't particularly rate either player... I just know what a different it makes starting with actual wingers playing on the wing.

As long as he doesn't start Crooks in left midfield again.

                 Ingram
Moloney-Taylor-Pierre-Buchanan
              JJOT-Grimes
      Hoskins-Crooks-Powell
                  Long

Barnett in for Pierre if not fit
Waters for Powell if not fit
McWilliams for JJOT if not fit

Clarence Park? So you are going to visit the displaced Cockneys.
Yes. Home of CAMRA, beginnings of the Wars of the Roses (good kick off in the streets that day - proper 80s style ruck!  Grin) and consecutive away trips for OCFC to cities claiming to have Britain's oldest pub!
Hoops in a similar league position to the Cobblers. Difference being, Oxford City now on fire, blew Truro City away last night!
Anxiously waiting for the Cobblers to do the same...but fear the worst tbh!

If it helps, download the Twickets app. Face value tickets have been popping up throughout the week.

Great app and worthwhile having anyway.
Yeah, got it already. Had half price Depeche Mode tickets last Spring which was nice.

What's the cráic with tickets if the game gets called off, as is quite likely it might? Do you get a refund or do you have to go to the rearranged game?

Surprised at that coming from you. Still.........
Surprised at somebody more looking forward to a night out than watching us lose and not score in sub zero temperatures? Weirdo.

Was going to go to this with a few mates but we have decided to save our money this week.

Very difficult to muster up then enthusiasm for an away trip to Oldham before Christmas considering we haven't scored since nevers was at school.

Don't think I'll be going either, it's more exciting watching some of the comments on here.....

Was hoping for some news on Powell/JJOT today, that might spark some people into going. All we know is it is a "late decision".

If they are not, I take my hat off to anyone willing to travel up there for the sort of performance we have produced in the last few weeks.

I have seen you certainly Championship season at various grounds but not for the 2016/17 and so far not 2017/18 season. Are you in Manchester this Fri/Sat by chance?
