No getting away from it today he nearly cost us 3 points.

If Ingrams not coming back then a new keeper is as important as a winger and striker.

Has never been and will never be a league standard goalkeeper.

His performance today was so bad it bordered on comical.

His decision making is dreadful though it's better than his general positioning.

His kicking, which usually is generally sound, today resulted in him either wallowing around on the floor or the ball disappearing into touch.

An absolute liability who must be replaced as a priority on New Year's Day.

Absolute liability. Never want to see him in a Cobblers shirt again.

Not sure on what basis he can be described as a bellend of a person though?

So you and those above are perhaps the same crowd who shot down Archer who is now plying his trade in the Championship. I would wager a pound or two that most of you were gunning for JJOT 2/3 years ago. Also would add to the name shame list Archer,JJOT, Powell and Hoskins. Waters on the reserve list. Wish I was an expert Roll Eyes.

I know people who have spent time around him. Say his arrogance is unbearable.

One of the most inept performances by any Cobblers keeper...

Never seen anything as bizarre as the incident which led to the sendings offs. Hopefully, it will be in the highlights as it's hard to describe what he did...

If Ingram out long term I'd play Coddington. Wrexham rate him and want to sign him permanently & he's still under contract with us til 2019. He can't do any worse than Cornell.

Not by choice, just fans who have bumbed into him pre season etc. Just complete clown both on and off the pitch.

Didn't look too good on the highlights tonight, both Archer and Smith had nightmares as well today...hopefully the Codmeister is a suitable replacement.

He had more pratfalls than a circus clown yesterday and made two dreadful lapses of judgement, one of which led to a goal and the other should have. If Ingram is going to be out for a lengthy period then this is a position we'll need to look at in January. He's adequate as a reserve but should be nowhere near first choice.

He's sh*te. Essential that he's out of the team at the earliest opportunity.

Archer was miles better than Cornell when he was here.
O'Toole pre Southend exodus deserved all the criticism he got.
Powell pulled his socks up before he got injured so credit to him.
Hoskins isn't good enough for L1.

According to Soccerbase yesterday was Cornell's 21st game for us, and only his SECOND win (the other was the 3-2 away at Port Vale under Rob Page).

The full stats are: P21 W2 D5 L14

Those stats are alarming across two seasons and three different managers. While obviously he's not at fault for every single one of those results, it's quite clear he doesn't inspire confidence in defenders.

He's a decent penalty saver, and has got a good kick, but I'm not convinced that he's up to scratch on any other levels of his game.

If he's our number one for the rest of the season I have grave doubts as to whether we would survive, and Lee Harper hinted at the same thing in his summarising on Radio Northampton. So it's imperative we replace Ingram properly IF he is out.

Wouldn't disagree with this summary on Cornell; at least its free of the type of comments from Cobblers150. If Ingram is out for 6 weeks we have to find a replacement PDQ.

Spot on Fez.  A major concern if Ingram's injury is worse than feared.

I am surprised he went to Millwall and established himself as a Championship Goal Keeper. Personally I thought he was average but some on here went out of their way to vilify him. I just merely thought that the criticism was unjustified. Over the last 3/4 years the experts were happy to jump on the bandwagon, just as some do now on Cornell. For the record I support Fez's summary on Cornell, but currently wont join in with Cornell's detractors.  Let me ask you a question do you support/or agree with the kind of OTT highly personal criticism aimed at Cornell by one poster on here?
