Pretty poor the announcer said this game was on tv . I mean you don’t have a long list of things to get right in that job and he got a fundamental thing wrong .
I am sure he got Long’s name wrong when he was subbed as well .

The first thing to remind ourselves is its a 2pm start.

Thoughts anybody?
Yes, 1am start for me. This also means that radio Noddy will also probably switch to the rugby or shove ha’penny or summat on the final whistle removing the temptation to listen to all the post match chat. Should be asleep by 3 then. Er, unless we get thumped a la Oldham, in which case I’ll have longer to stare at the ceiling.

Good luck with that!

I still can't stop thinking about the commentator for the ifollow coverage of the Portsmouth game who kept referring to his team as 'Pompeii' instead of 'Pompey'. How do you get that wrong?!

Is anyone optimistic of anything better than a loss tomorrow?

Hoping the likes of Grimes and McGugan can really step up tomorrow and show their undoubted talent against better players. Just think the lack of wingers will really show against an inform side like Blackburn.

Im going on the assumption we will lose, and probably lose heavily.

That said, tomorrow is a rare game where we 'don't have anything to lose'. And the players "might just step up, strut their stuff and put in their best performance of the season and come away with a result.

I hope!!

W're not playing Man City.  It's 11 v 11 and there is always a chance. Our prospects will be better if Ingram is fit but that is looking unlikely.  As things stand a draw will be a good result.

If you want to use a Prem comparison the bookies think we are about as likely to win tomorrow as Everton are against Chelsea. Seems about right to me.

As likely as Chelsea beating Everton surely? Everton are unbeatable at the moment with Big Sam at the helm! Shows what an absolute twat Koeman is!  Wink

Good luck everyone getting there in time for kick off. Town was gridlocked today and only another 20,000 people for the roads to contend with tomorrow.
I'm really looking forward to this, undoubtedly one of the biggest games of the season against one of the clubs we rarely play. After last weeks win I'm more relaxed, not expecting a win but just want to see a good competitive game where we are in it for as long as possible and who knows we might cause a surprise. Would really need Ingram fit, fingers crossed.

Is that not good news in terms of the extent of an injury or just that he’s out for today? If it is yet another injury it is ridiculous how many we are picking up.

If Pierre is out then time to play Poole in his natural position with McWilliams in front of the back 4.

Cheers for that mate, hopefully nothing too serious but I take your point about the implications on today - if Cornell is in goal and Barnett at cb then I’m even less confident of us getting a result than I was before. I would much rather Poole gets a chance in his natural position.

Spoilt for choice - I had forgotten we have McGivern on our books. Cometh the hour..............

Assuming Pierre is out then if McGivern doesn't get a start I wonder what he was doing here in the first place.  I would still go with Poole at the back.

Sure. Let's see what the club put out. As vintage says, we have cover but he'll be a miss.

True - I thought Pierre had one of his better games last week and it’s typical of our luck with absences that it sounds like he’ll be missing today. Neither Barnett or mcgivern fill me with much confidence so I hope Poole gets his chance, also I’m desperately hoping that Ingram is fit but I think we’re all pretty much resigned to it being Cornell.
