What team should we expect this time? And how many will we lose by? 1-0, 2-0, 3-0, 4-0, 5-0........certainly can't see anything other than a defeat, but a miracle could happen some day I suppose.

Agree with the players, if JJ is fit, but I would try Foley and McGugan as the central pair with Crooks and Grimes supplying the quality service wider.
Maybe this illustrates our problem of too many midfielders of the same type!

Id have played Grimes on the wing weeks, if not months ago. Thats where he generally played and excelled when he was at Exeter.

Probably for the same reason Waters has never been played as a striker after having scored 16 goals last season in a poor Cheltenham side!

I hope the half decent version of us turns up, otherwise we are going to get another pasting. Wigan have drawn their last two games, we get a point or three here and we might be able to give them a game. Lose badly here and we could be looking at another big reverse on Monday.

Going to be optimistic and say 2-1 Cobblers, Foley to continue his scoring streak with both goals.  Grin

I did consider going down there, if we'd picked up something at Donny I would have been there today. But Im too fearing a big defeat. If we are anything less or the same as 5 points off the 5th bottom team after we've played Wigan I would take it now…

Id play, assuming Powell isn't fit (surely if he does magically re-appear it will be on the bench initially):

Ingram

Maloney, Taylor, *Pierre,followed by Barnett, followed by Poole, Buchs.

Smith (left wing), Crookes, John Joe (attacking), McWilliams,Foley (right wing)

Long

You've then got McGugan, Grimes (he needs a break imo) and Hoskins as lively options off of the bench.

Thats a solid looking team with a degree of balance.
