I always wondered how Milton Keynes City were allowed that name as MK has never been given City status.

Even in the 1970's a previous incarnation used the same MK City name.

It was always designated as a ''New City'' in the plans, or even a forest city, surrounded by trees. I think it got a bit ahead of itself!

Most un-athletic bunch of fans I've ever seen... I guess you can call yourselves whatever you like.

Chelmsford city fc was just a new town that called themselves 'city' which ironically they became one after beating Reading MK and Luton to the city title.
The honour  was destined to be awarded to Northampton but we couldn't be bothered enterering, being comfortable remaining as a 'Tayn'.

I wondered if you're still looking for this programme. The reason I ask is that I met an old friend in a bar in Soho after the Wimbledon game and he used to be a big noise in the City and made a packet buying in the dips during the last Crash, but now he's retired with time on his hands, but still has a lot of contacts up north who may be able to help in this matter, and is willing to help, and he won't take a single buck, and no sell-on clause. Don't get me wrong-he's no Jay Gatsby, he hasn't killed anyone and he definitely didn't fix the World Series, but these sorts can go places where we can't, they're not like us-he has a nose for sniffing out stuff and I don't mean in the Kerry Katona sense, and he once found the first FA Cup Final at Wembley issue in some widow woman's recess in Harrogate, which hadn't been disturbed since her old man passed in a 'boating accident' and his father had second sight especially after a few drinks, and his ma was a medium till a predilection for chocolate digestives turned her into an extra large, and if he does find the MK programme he'll stick it in cellophane in a hollowed out tree on the Racecourse and I'll collect it and pass it onto you.
But if you've obtained a copy already, ignore this message, and have a nice day.

Yeah I was also at this game but doubt I bothered getting a program unfortunately.

Even if I did the chances of finding it now would be remote.

I think that was Wolverton Town.

Yes it was the oldest seated stand in the country. The developers of the housing  on the land had to preserve it as part of the planning permission. Unfortunately a lot of the wood was rotten and they basically ended up building a replica of the original with very few of the original parts left in place.
