I agree but I think it is slightly curious he is so silent on any actual good news - or perhaps the recent signings in his mind are not good news (increasing our wage bill, debt, misery and the end of the world etc etc etc)
Thanks for thinking about me😂 I was going to reply to your earlier simplistic views on loss and profits which suggests you make no difference between the likes of the Kingfisher group to a corner shop. They both need profits but one cant suffer losses/ cash flow whilst the other will deliberately suffer losses to build parts of its group. The old sage you refer to forgot to mention speculate to accumulate . As for the new signings.. Great acquisitions that Im very happy with, even if our turn over will show inital losses as long as they dont accumulate too much then are saddled onto the club without the means and wherefore (redev😉) to ever repay them. So hoping those leading the ship at this exciting time have either a bottomless pit of cash or plans of making us more self sufficient.

I'm building a picture in my mind - NTFC the Arkwright open all hours corner shop and MK the shiny new Tesco Metro - & do you know what I would prefer to shop at Arkwright's!

Who in their right mind in MK would follow them when you can be in London in 40 mins?
Their fans don't appear to like travelling. Look at their away attendances.

They are claiming they've only sold 150 advance tickets for their trip to Walsall on saturday. Pathetic

Especially when you compare it to ourselves taking nearly ONE THOUSAND Cobblers fans to Blackburn which is more than TWICE the distance!

Some people are just like that, if I won the lottery my Mum would have been beside herself I would have blown it on an 0rgy of fast cars, drugs and tarts. To be fair that’s exactly what I was planning.

To my mind, stats on away followings are the clearest simple indication of how well supported and therefore sustainable a club is in the long term. It shows how much your supporters genuinely support the club and want to be there, even if it is all the way to Carlisle on a cold and wet Tuesday night to lose 5-0. As a true fan once said, yes I know they will get battered, but I still want to be there to see how they got battered, which players are giving their all, and to support them all the way and try cheer them along to a consolation goal.
If your fans can't be ar5ed to travel to Northampton, or Walsall on the back of a few new signings and a new manager, then I don't think that they are genuinely supporters and won't be bothered to do bucket collections in hard times. Plenty of seats and a hotel or not, I'd back an Oldham, Oxford or Bristol R over an MK all day for long term survival.

And you would have wasted the rest?

Good point. If its any consolation, I work just around the corner from Smithfield Market. I can always post you a replacement. Source and compatibility unknown though...

With any luck it might be your own you get back then?
