Wasn't that the season they got promoted?

Either way the novelty factor of the nice ground and a team on the up is what got the ball rolling with their attendance increases.
A nice but nearly empty soulless stadium and a team on a serious downward trend - hopefully in league 2 - means a lot of their fans will go back to being armchair Prem fans.

You won't like this, but I imagine they will have a similar attendance drop based on cycles of football that every other lower league EFL team sees. When the form picks up again, the fair weather brigade start rolling back.

I think this game more so than Bradford will tell us where we are. We really should be winning this if we want to stay up.

local derby and a relegation 6 pointer with the introduction of 5 new potentially exciting signings on the back of 2 straight wins.... oxford mk Peterborough luton swindon etc etc would all have 10,000 plus in similar situations   as would we if we could.
There was 6054 in 2009 against MK Dons at Sixfields when a win would have secured safety, so just what fúcking bóllocks are you talking about?

I know 3 extra people that are going that don't normally, and that's without any marketing (apart from my own). Let's all do our bit to encourage a few of the floaters back.

Great idea. I’ve done this using hashtags for Ice Hockey and it’s put 25% on the gate. I know we’ve all had some fun bickering and winding each other up about Easier games, why not use this forum for good. The club have shown some ambition and commitment with some of their signings, let’s show some back by dragging some mates along (kicking and screaming if needs be) We could use the #SellOutSixfields, we could contact the club, the local journalists, get them to spread the word also. Even if we only get another 500 on the gate, it would show the club what a little bit of marketing might do.

Someone (maybe not me as people will view it negatively) start a new thread to this end, we can all then add to it how many people we are dragging along, I’m already bringing 3 neutrals from MK and will ask 2 more.

Imagine if this worked and went even 1% of the way to keeping us up and sending the Dongs down

This was a tuesday night game played at our amateurish stadium  at a time we sold better players and cobbled together freebees and loanee kids. Defeat after defeat must've taken its toll but attracting over 6000 without any sales and marketing still filled Sixfields to 80% capacity .. Not sure what your point is?

Why would I not like that?

Well based on your previous posts I assumed you saw L2 as the starting point on the road to destruction.

Not quite what I meant but wouldn't it be great if it was the start of their road to destruction.

With our new signings I am guessing we will see some more changes in the starting line up?

Or should we keep with the side that did so well at Bradford?

I think Bunney will start and Turnbull will play centre half ( unlucky on Poole ), unless he thinks three new players at the back with a new keeper is a bit much . In which case , Bunney will be on the bench and Turnbull left back, meaning Buchs sitting in the stand for the first time ever , excluding injuries .
I suspect Powell will play probably in place of Hoskins , and Berto on the bench .
The rest pick themselves - Grimes , Taylor , Long , JJOT , Crooks , Facey .

This sums up people on this board, either thick, negative or just here for a snide dig. Pathetic, and one of the reasons we struggle to move forward as a club.
