Oops, £3million down the drain then. I'm sure I read on another thread that a large stadium and lots of commercial facilities etc was the way forward, but the Winkelman is worried it's not working and needs investment. What a shame. That big empty stadium probably costs a few quid to run. Would be lovely for the League 2 teams to visit next year 🤣

Good because whenever opposition fans slag them off then visit in big numbers the mk fans always smugly thank them for the gate money. Doesn't seem to be doing much good does it.

How much are we in debt but without facilities or assets? I totally agree regarding the white elephant of a stadium they built was far too big capacity wise, however it seems again people can't disassociate between business revenue streams and the black hole of football finance. It's a £30m stadium, he's only £3m down. Think about it. How many other large stadiums will you find in league 2 next season and how many will be in the Championship or higher. Coincidence? I don't know, maybe the experts here can explain to me why.

Sorry, I've lost the thread of the conversation - is this referring to your car or your wife...?

Taking MK part-time and selling the stadium to the FA for non-league and lower league playoff finals etc might be worth considering

That's not 3m down since building the £30m stadium...it's a £3m loss last year!

Ok, please close this thread, the plastic wankers have had enough space here!! (Start another for the Aussie/BMWanker thread elsewhere)..
I Really hope they go bust and someone from London buys them and moves them south, as aka reverse Wimbledon!!.
That would be ironic, Local MK supporters having to travel south for games

Well obviously, or are you confusing this with secured debt? Current loss..how many other times do you calculate your losses?

Just quoting the BBC article .... "Winkelman has led the Dons since they were founded in 2004 and says the club has lost him £3m in the past year." It doesn't say how much he has lost (or gained) since spending 30m on building the stadium, only how much he lost last year.

We would have outsold the franchisees BUT they stopped selling tickets to Cobblers fans when we reached 7,040 while MK had only sold 5K!!!

Winkleman didn't pay 1 penny for the stadium. Indeed all running costs have been met by other armies to date. Not sure for how much longer MK have the benefit of this.
