Having had a chance to rethink The fact he turned down a move to stay with us despite not getting paid in our darkest hour and then led us to a title ...... How many players would have done that.
For that alone RICO LEGEND

The bloke is a cobblers legend, thanks for all the good times and top memories. Those 4 goals he scored that day will live long in the memory.
Thanks and all the best Marc

I was another unsure about a return when he resigned for us three years ago. Shortly afterwards I saw us get a last minute draw at York due totally to a Rico freekick 25 yards out which seemed to burst the wall and fly into the net. Why didn't he get to take more freekicks over the past three years?.. Over the next couple of seasons I also got to fully appreciate his striking instinct, and with service I'm sure he would have scored more goals for us this past twelve months. A friend of mine, a Barnsley supporter, reckons he had everything required for the Championship except that extra yard of pace. Chris Long has that pace and is certainly good enough to do a job for us, but I'm not sure he'll ever be as clinical as Rico was, or have what's needed for the Championship. All the best Marc. You served us well.

Always liked Rico even when he would wind up our fans when badge kissing and ear cocking after scoring for port vale😂. His first spell saw him hit the cross bar 16 times and the posts 7 before he smashed 4 into the space between, away at Macclesfield.

It would be good if he said farewell on Saturday before he signs elsewhere

Not that many of his generation would have shown the loyalty to a club than he did two seasons ago, some great memories of Rico hitting the net for us in his two stints, a modern Legend.

Assuming Richards doesn't have anything else already lined up, it would be lovely if the club could arrange this.

Fair play. Not many 35 year olds bagging 18 month contracts. He’ll bag some goals for them.

Wow, well done him and his agent getting him an 18 month deal at his age. Hopefully this saved us a few quid paying him off less than if he didn’t have a good deal lined up.

Absolutely the correct decision to let Rico leave for both his career and the progression of the team. He was fantastic in our championship winning season and has been a loyal servant to the club. He leaves with nothing but my best wishes and I really hope he can go on and be a success at Swindon. Always seemed like a decent guy to have around the club and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him return for a third spell in the future, this time as part of the coaching staff.
All the best Rico.

How about this as a genuine idea : If Rico and Buchs end up going ( possibly even Moloney if the rumours are correct ), Why don’t the Trust set up a leaving do for them in which a restaurant is hired and the lads are invited along to raise money for a local charity ? That way , people can pay their respects in a warm manner .
