We've had the 50th anniversary of the 65-66 First Division side, the 30th anniversary of the 86/87 Fourth Division title winning side. I'm sure the 97 playoff winning side are due a re-Union - that will have to be in 2022 for the 25th anniversary. So the 2015/16 re-Union will have to wait until at least 2041, just as I retire! Hope you're taking note Trust  Wink

From an 'emotional' point of view I'm gutted.
From a football point of view it makes sense.

Thanks for everything Rico, one of the few Cobblers legends that will always get a great reception whenever he comes back.

Totally agree. Magnificent professional and servant for the Cobblers. Chose to stay when he had the chance to leave a sinking ship in the darkest days of our championship season. Just a shame he couldn't leave on a high with a proper send-off. Good luck at Swindon!

Luke Norris, Rico, Matt Taylor and Keshi Anderson at Swindon now.

When they play Mansfield it'll be like an ex Cobbler reunion!

They play each other at Swindon on 10th Feb, shame we have AFC away on that day or we could have gone en masse in our Cobblers tops  Grin

Top bloke.  I hope he returns to the club in some capacity after he finishes playing.  He will surely be welcomed.  I still feel that he has something to offer at league two though.

Showed great loyalty to the club in our darkest hour. Hope he starts banging them in for Swindon.

Decent pro who served us well and scored plenty of goals at times. He doesn't make my all time Cobblers XI, or even the bench but he is held in high regard. Incidentally my all time XI is revealed in the latest edition of the Hotelenders fanzine out this Saturday. Make sure you buy your copy. Still only a peynd!

Quite a stirring feature.  It really is a shame he left without having the chance to say goodbye (and vice versa).  Testimonial matches almost seem a thing of the past but in this case, wouldn't it be an idea to revive it at some point in the future...

Great interview with Rico in the Chron .
Just shows you the importance of characters in the changing room in an age of headphones and pink boots .
The promotion team didn’t have the best players ( look at where they are now ) but the team spirit was unbelievable .
You only have to look at us , Leicester and Burton that season for proof .
Northants cricket that year was another example

Good on Rico as we all knew he could still cut it in L2......but not in L1.....hence why he was released.

L1 this season is extremely tough so hopefully in the next few days we'll grab a couple of decent strikers to aid our survival push...
