It doesn't matter whether it made a difference to the gate or not. It created some enthusiasm for the game and that has to be a good thing.
Spot on as this is the point people are missing and also the point that at least 78 tried. Which is more than 3inBed tried to do; except offer measely words on fellow supporter.

Yesterday, just after Xmas on a cold snowy day, we got 800 more home fans than our previous highest home attendance this season which was against our biggest local rivals. We also got over 1,000 more than our average home attendance for the season. I'll leave it up to others to decide if there was a noticeable difference or not, I suppose it will show whose glass is half empty and whose is half full.
so you dont think the best game to compare it with would be one from the same time last year against a similarly local club? because that game was also just/roughly a month after christmas as well and not at a time when a huge part of the fanbase would still have been on holiday, as was the case for the peterboro match

As I understand it some supporters took somebody along who wasn’t intending to go until this campaign started? Therefore there were more people at the game than would have been otherwise. Consequently I really don’t know what the debate is about or understand the motives behind it?

Some people are that miserable that they try to cheer themselves up by trying to squash any positivity elsewhere in the world. Sad for them, but just a fact of life.

It's very true that there was a higher 'home' crowd for that game than there was yesterday. I'd also be very surprised if there were more than 60 Coventry fan in home areas.
There was definitely one sat next to me. Using the same logic as in other threads that means half the West Stand was Coventry fans

I accept that, but negativity aside it doesn’t just doesn’t make any sense, and the whole discussion is bonkers? If people went who weren’t intending to go but for the efforts of those on this thread then it had an impact? People are talking about Coventry, The Poo etc, the game at the same time of the year, outside temperature, wind chill, what Aunt Mable got brought for Xmas and god knows what else, it’s all completely irrelevant? Must be me?

You should've organised a march to the guildhall, that would've been much more successful...

Is anyone who the regular fans took along two weeks ago intending to go again after seeing what was on offer? Maybe not to every game but did they enjoy it enough to return?

Depends if your taking your Spangles, as long as they’re not Old English?

Notts County have done a "two for Crewe" offer tomorrow, £2 a ticket for everyone. They've sold out 17,500. That's impressive even though they will make far less money than their usual attendance at the usual prices. Maybe they can afford to lose the money.
