Afternoon all, please have a think about this. Try to be sensible, constructive and positive. Votes and comments would be appreciated, still thinking of a snappy hashtag

Most supporters who go to a Tuesday night fixture are probably the more die hards anyway, and most probably ST holders anyway..
If you did it the other way around ie Saturday ticket and Discounted Tuesday, would probably work better as evening events tend to have smaller crowds...
This year is also my 20th year as ST holder, I am sure there are others who have been coming much longer than myself, but why not some sort of discount to the long term nutters, who probably matter most for sustained cash flow??

This year is also my 20th year as ST holder, I am sure there are others who have been coming much longer than myself, but why not some sort of discount to the long term nutters, who probably matter most for sustained cash flow?? Isn't the ST enough of a discount, plus the associated perks, e.g. no hassle getting games for the big cup ties. Not saying the ST holders don't need looking after, but the casuals are a harder nut to crack. I note on TCR, (MK forum) there's a fan who lives within the vicinity of Sixfields, yet goes MK Dons games... madness

I think the discounted tickets for the Tuesday game would be a good idea, crowds are always down for them so any incentive that could increase those gates would be good.
Saturday and Tuesday 'bundle' for say £45 wouldn't be a bad idea.

Just for the record, its half term week that week so a lot of people will bring their kids, unlike if its a school night!

Great shout, hadn't spotted that... game changer, if promoted correctly.

If the club offered went out to local schools and did some football “training” with the lads, then offered some tickets to go and watch, you would instantly capture the local imagination of the towns children, and if regularly followed up, they would eventually turn into full time paying adults, and at the same time stopping any local talent being lost to our rivals.. . Yes, short term it may cost, but in the overall scheme of things, probably a wise investment??
As for Tuesdays, can’t beat Sixfields under floodlights, with the crowd rocking!!

How about , buy a ticket for the Gillingham game and receive a free Raheem Hanley or Dean Bowditch

The idea is to encourage fans, not put them off!

I can usually only get to the midweek games nowadays (go to watch my son play local football Saturday afternoons) but I was surprised to see the club don't do a family ticket deal? I have 2 teenagers and to come to a game would be £64 for the family, which I found a bit steep. I know, I am a tight git!

Reading this, a third of non season ticket holders would attend both games that wouldn’t have previously if there was some sort of incentive (very small sample of 12 I know)

How about a more professional incentives to attract more support on a tuesday night by inviting companies/ /organisations/general public to buy into a less high brow evening at the football that includes pre match food and full evening access to the bar. It can start at £30 a head and be held in the marquee if the east stand isnt finished

Good idea, have you contacted Kelvin to suggest this?

I think it is difficult and all incentives come with the risk of an immediate lower income and negligible long term gain. What we really need is a bigger stadium to enable some tangible benefits and creative marketing. Along with owners who are in it for the long term organic growth of a successful business and don't mind speculating to accumulate. Or even that the club just want to say "Thank you" for the continued support. We may already have one of those owners...you can decide. Some examples: Family 40 - Two adults and two (under 16) kids for £40. (as suggested on the Q&A) I'd be very surprised if many families of 4 take in a game at Sixfields, maybe a few ST's. I would imagine a lot of this based on price. Not sure what the match day going rate is but must be around £70, which for most is either out of reach or unjustifiable. No coincidence that ladies football is a lot more accessible and family orientated. A lot of England Ladies games are 4 for £20 and the FA Cup Final is 4 for £30. You can use supply and demand for more popular teams but it doesn't apply across the whole male game. It probably says more about the game as a whole but we need to do more to get families attending. No increase in match day pricing bought on the day. £24 will put a few off. Re-introduction of cheap season tickets, e.g. £200 Small bundles targeted at certain attendees E.g. Any 5 night games for £75. ST buy-back for designated games. £2 off in ground food voucher on back of every ticket. They could negotiate this with caterer to subsidise verses usage. Although as we have seen. The only way to guarantee larger gates is to score occasionally, win some games and get a few players who people want to see. Not forgetting the occasional # We do some things very well... The mascot package is good. It's great that we give cheap tickets to the local kids football teams and families. The corporate packages I have been to have been really enjoyable and it gives a totally different match day experience.

Why is that all money making schemes for the club involve reducing prices in some way? The only way discounters make money is by reducing the costs of the products so perhaps we should deliberately aim to get relegated to help lower player wages.

Because we’ve been a bottom two division club for 50 years. A couple of promotions and we can charge what we like.

If we could just get down to the National Leagues or lower just think how much money we would save. There's no way they could charge £24 entrance then. The stadium will also be plenty big enough to please everyone.
