Perhaps it is an Omen Alan. Lets look at the signs...
You support Wolves and we have a member on here called Wolvo (ding) You have a wife that gamblés and we’ve had a couple of managers that **** (ding) You’re name is Alan and we have a supporter called Alan - probably (ding) You had the most natural striker of a ball I ever saw in Steve Bull, and we have a forum full of Bull (I’m waiting)
Yep, looks like it’s fate Alan; see you in Carr’s bar...
We also had a player in the 1970s called Alan Oman!!!! And with a name like Alan you are destined for Carr's Bar!! That's the deal breaker...ding!!!!

I did think about Rugby Town but my wife randomly entering then happening to win the tickets makes me think maybe it’s an omen and I need to give the cobblers a chance...
Hopefully you enjoy the day and won't need any further selling besides the football itself.. Wolves were my adopted team back in my university days. I have very fond memories of Ebanks-Blake and Elokobi! Used to meet Steve Bull quite regularly with several charity projects I was working on too.

Welcome Alan, enjoy the game (hopefully we'll win) come to a couple more and you'll soon have claret 'n' white blood and claret tinted glasses. Oh! and after a couple more games you'll have the measure of why we're all cobblers (no pun please).

Oh Bollox, on reading the title I got very excited ...
Thought we’d found that elusive investor.
Come along Saturday and see what you think mate. It should be a good old bottom of the table, relegation encounter and we are hitting form.
What could possibly go wrong? We’ll even accept your support even in the likely event you feel sorry for us. Have a good day what ever the outcome.

Had two decent ales in the brilliant Great Western pub, round the corner from Wolverhampton station last night. Changing on the way back from Blackburn. My Wolves connection!

When I was a kid I had 2 teams. Wolves, they played in old gold. Imagine that. The other was The Arsenal. Whoever named a football club with The in the title.
Then in March 1965 my dad took me to see the Cobblers play Bolton. 4-0. They will do and any other infatuation was forgotten. My dads got a lot to answer for!

I saw that game - bitterly cold night and we thumped them, Don Martin etc. They had a small but good goal keeper. Am I right? Crowd of 15/18000?

It was 42 years ago in Feb 1976 my dad took me to see NTFC at the old County Ground for the first time. This Saturday is effectively my 42nd anniversary of my first game. You guessed it we drew 1-1 with Rochdale that day and I was hooked. In the pub after the game last weekend we thought it would be a giggle for me to wear an 'Ekky Thump' style flat cap during the Rochdale game in honour of my dad. It will happen! Proper cap from Quill's woolen mills in Ireland.
Welcome aboard Alan

Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible c***’... me!
CARDOZA - A clown, A fool, A charlaton. The destroyer of NTFC 1897 to 2015....ON HIS WATCH!!!!

If you fold your scarf and other memorabilia in half it will say Hampton. Therefore you will save a fortune on rebadging everything. Also if you did the same with any NTFC stuff you purchase you could happily walk back into Molineux with it. If you were continue with Torquay and did likewise it would say United and people might think you have something to do with Peterborough, which means you would smell.

Expect a call from Pete Wankelman in the morning. Offer the wine gums and let him negotiate up.

As others have said come along next week and see what you think. Its a great family club and a good time (comparatively) to come with the football improving.
But the main reason to come is because we've got O'Toole, John-Joe O'Toole, I just don't think you understand

The child snatcher loves wine gums, and Werthers original, same as Evers.

In in the half time interval we try to kick luminous footballs in to a small wooden skip. O, and we have a big fury dragon run about the place with a Pizza

Ahh some useful replies here.
Yes of course Wolverhampton, Northampton.... definitely a Hampton theme going on here.
I’m afraid I’ve eaten the wine gums but think I may have a couple of packets of Parma violets if they’re any good for bargaining?
