Seems they can't play against a 3-5-2 formation.Hasslebank is inept tactically.

If Hasselbaink takes us down is there anyone who'd like him to stay?

Updates on some former players:
Marc Richards has scored for Swindon against Wycombe.
Ivan Toney has scored for Scunthorpe against Peterborough.
Alex Revell has been given a straight red card for Stevenage against Forest Green Rovers. It's his second red card of the season, after he was sent off for us in that terrible 0-6 pasting by Bristol Rovers.

Is this what it’s going to be like for the rest of the season - schizophrenic performances one week to the next? It is really worrying how tactically inflexible JFH is.

Actually I take it back - we must have played 4 different systems in the space of 45 minutes none of which was remotely successful. Foley for one has played in about 4 different positions and doesn’t look like he has a clue where he’s meant to be.

Based on that a straight forward 3 points for the Gills, although it’s one of their easier games I suppose. Pace, passing, desire and finishing. A bit of a footballing lesson really and they look like a top of the table team playing at home. He needs to work some magic to pull this one back. Awful.

Might as well chuck Hilderberto on, there's a good chance he'll be terrible again but a small chance he'll do something spectacular.

One thing that confirms is that despite all the protestations we had no wide players prior to January - look who we have ended up settling for in the advanced positions ..... Two players that were already here .....
Two players that were diabolical too. We've been clueless and gutless. Their number 2 had had the freedom of the park to pick out whatever cross or pass he fancies. The front 2 have had the better of our defence, even Mr Reliable Taylor, and we've been out worked for the second home game in a row. Why JFH decided to pull JJOT back when KVV is out I have no idea, and why he didnt change that I've even less idea. Major half time talk required.

Inept and lifeless.
Nobody seems to want it.
We are being undone by a long ball in behind, and haven’t won a 50/50 ball the entire half. Should be at least 4-0 down.
Not sure how we end up being such a clueless side sometimes. Foley must get fed up of playing in a different position every ten minutes.
Poor decision to drop Crooks and put JJ back in the middle (if that is where he is actually playing).
Ten more minutes of this and it will be an early night for me. f***ing awful.

Well this is a test isn’t it? All very well and good getting a result when you’ve turned up, but changing the game when your up against it is a fundamental part of management. At some point Jimmy needs to show the ability to affect performances when we’re struggling. The size of the squad and resources should mean he is in a better position than most?

Some really odd decisions today - pereira is playing in the hole despite being a winger and jjot still too deep.
