Wasn't there a thread on lack of atmosphere somewhere?

If you're unsure of any of the words being used .....

I know, how ridiculous that chant is.  We’d do well to get one ambulance out, let alone enough for all those away supporters. And even then they’d be taking them to hospital, not to wherever they live in the country.  The NHS isn’t a taxi service after all!  People should really think these football chants through a little...

At least 3 hour wait if you're lucky, the game will be well over by then, yes fucking ridiculous.

I don't think many of our supporters have ever been to Dublin, let alone come across Molly.

This is not so much about swearing, more about some people being extremely moronic. I remember going to Plymouth in the 1990's when there was a minute's silence for the victims of the Dunblane massacre. Some Cobblers fans did their best to sabotage that minute's silence. The lowest of the low.

Spot on. Singing about the IRA and people with disabilities both fall in to this category,

Spoken like a true modern football supporter, everyone sit on their hands and be quiet please. I feel sorry for the kids, they will have no fun in the future for fear of upsetting a snowflake.

Over the last 60+ years we have always had an unruly element. The group our "shocked" supporter referred reflect that tradition. I am sorry his sensibilities are offended, but they bring atmosphere and fanatical support; best not to be a library. You don't have to listen perhaps even join just modifying the words to suit. There is nothing better being in a Cobblers crowd in full swing; far better than a rock concert or some unknown  singer!
Brilliant idea Evers. May I offer,

Can you explain to me why it's OK to sing about disabled people and the IRA?

Can I be offended by the use of the word "moronic"?

Moron
Origin

Early 20th century (as a medical term denoting an adult with a mental age of about 8–12): from Greek mōron, neuter of mōros ‘foolish’.

Just do what I do - ignore the words. All this PC moralising sometimes hints of double standards so I find it a little two-faced. I rather be amongst a fanatical group of supporters than a bunch of library-goers.

I find the chants quite amusing.  The only one I cringe at is "We're gonna score in a minute" - we never do!

50p Lill?

Swearing is all about the context. If an apposing player blatantly and dangerously scythes down one of our players I would expect some form of verbal response from our crowd. Adversely a group of people repeating You're fucking shit shows a district lack of creativity and intelligence. It doesn't offend me in any way but I often wish more funny or creative chants could be started that all fans would feel happy joining in.

Most of us are stupid some of the time, but you give the impression of being stupid most of the time. Now pack it up Frank!

Why do you continue with this obsession you have about me supposedly being other posters on here? Pack it up Tony!

If you don’t like swearing go and sit in the family stand .
Or you could go to the Saints where the atmosphere is completely dead - and I know because I go to both .
