Although knowing who he is and spotting him in various random towns across the land, never before have I had the pleasure of sitting next to Jeema. That all changed last night. The full 90 plus added time.

With a swear box in place we could have afforded to finish the East Stand and redeveloped the North.

A complete pleasure to listen to the observations.

I'm sure this gets mentioned a lot. But can anyone explain (if indeed there is an explanation) the meaning behind to his 'orse?

I read recently that many years ago Charlton Athletic fans sang the same song and it was in reference to an heroic and at the time famous First World War military horse that died in battle.

Horse is Navy slang for a girl 'friend', usually one of many they had in each port they visited.  Wink

Mis-pronounced version of 'whores'...

genuine question. do Posh sing about us when they aren't playing us?

also couldn't care too much for the content or the swearing in the songs. but a point already made, just a bit of relevance or imagination wouldn't go a miss.

To his ******, is goodbye horse - an old Royal Navy song - https://mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=107820, no idea why we sing it at the Cobblers but it is funny!

Fcuk the IRA - Corporal David Howes from Northampton brutally killed by the IRA - http://www.nytimes.com/1988/03/21/world/from-irish-pulpit-sense-of-revulsion.html, (there is a YouTube news video of the killing but it is very upsetting so won’t paste the link here)

An MK Dons work colleague recently came to Sixfields and mentioned all our songs have swearing, I love that as I have no idea how he can go to watch the plastics every home game in that soulless shell of a stadium.

I personally don’t sing along to the nonse songs.

Would also like to know if the pish sing songs about us.

No.  Maybe they used to see us are their main rivals but not anymore.

Below is a link to all (95) of their chants.  There are 4 or 5 aimed at Cambridge, 2 or 3 aimed at MK but none (that I could find) aimed at us...

I was at a loose end friday so went to the Leicester Sheff Utd match.

I witnessed an elderly gentleman get kicked out because he swore. No wonder they have those awful clappers every match. It was an awful sanitised experience and didn't feel like an 'English' football experience.

If that is what we can expect in the future, no thanks.

I remember going to a match at Notts Co in what must have been 2001 (lost 2-0) and remember being more upset that an old man next to me had his rattle taken off him by a steward, for some unknown reason to 9 year old me.

anybody that knows the slightest inclination about the game of football knows that O'Toole should be in the team. We really do have some idiotic fans.

Erm ok you've got me there I guess.

He actually seemed genuinely upset he was being escorted out and it just seemed like a massive over reaction.

Was it Wigan years ago where a steward pushed a fan and they ended up falling down the stairs?

Not sure my memory is accurate enough as can't really remember what happened.

I find Stevenage's are pretty much the worst.

Surely Coventry?
