Northampton Town manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has strengthened his coaching staff at Sixfields with the appointment of John Pemberton the club's new first team coach.
As a player, Pemberton made more than 300 senior appearances in the Premier League and EFL in a career that saw him play for the likes of Crystal Palace, Sheffield United and Leeds United.
Pemberton has enjoyed a successful coaching career working with players of all ages – he has previously been manager of the Sheffield United Academy while at first team level he has also worked as a coach at Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest and was most recently at Bristol City.
"I am really pleased to welcome John to the club," said manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
"John will prove an excellent addition to the coaching staff here, he has a wealth of experience of working with players at all levels and his arrival is a boost for us.
"I know the players here will benefit from John's arrival and we are delighted to have him on board."
So, WTF has he brought to the party?
He was a left back, so surely he should be the perfect coach for Bunney, yet the kid looks out of his depth since joining us...

Not saying it is am I? Just stating that nothing has noticeable really changed since he came in, players still don't press & last night Bunney looked like what Alistair Slowe would have looked like had he actually made an appearance for us!!!
