Jacobs are trying to build up demand, apparently they felt to launch them as a stand alone biscuit would be ridiculous and too much of a financial risk. What do you think they are, Custard Creams?

Was this to do with the Jaffa Cake and whether the tax on them should be for a cake or a biscuit?

Excellent work Larry. The proof was that when stale the Jaffa cake went hard, a biscuit goes soft thus avoiding VAT. 1991: Her Majesty’s Customs and Excise vrs Skint Fat Bloke

Which coconut flavoured sugar coated biscuit was listed in an Army and Navy Co-operative Society price list in 1895. British company Huntley & Palmers also made this biscuit as early as 1904. The Australian company Arnott's Biscuits also claims to have invented the biscuit. These biscuits are sold by various companies under different brand names in most of the British Commonwealth as well as other countries.

The yes part of my message was to confirm you were correct on the animals. Jaffa cake comment was just me saying they were a cake as they aren't called Jaffa biscuits.
