Right, we've had a terrible season and in danger of going down. BUT there's 3 other **** teams at the bottom all in the same situation, freak results will happen at this stage of the season and we will pick up points.

If you're going to Bristol on Saturday (16 a ticket - get down there) shout yourself hoarse and get behind the lads. At 16 a ticket we should be taking 600 at the very least. If you're not, save your voices for Rotherham on the 17th and do it then. We played our part under Wilder when he saved us, and now we've got to do it again.

We definitely need to get behind the team for the Rotherham game, if we can support throughout the game even if we are dropping deep or JFH makes decisions we don't agree with then maybe we can get something out of this. Away support is always good it's at home we need to get behind them.

Spot on,

As fans we need to realise there will be no new manager , and no new players. We are in a relegation battle and need to back this team no matter what.

Sixfields needs to be a fortress not a.self fulfilling prophecy of doom!

Totally agree on the away support. It's fantastic away (with the exception of Portsmouth where after 40 mins we fell apart - and certain 'fans' had their own ways of showing their anger at the end when the players came over to clap!!).

I'm fairly new to supporting anything football related. My father was heavily into motorsports (bike and car) in every form ; speedway, hot rods, formula 1, motorcross etc and had no interest whatsoever in football. Hence as a child I had virtually no exposure to football at all.

Fast forward 40 odd years, my son who is now 8 plays football for local clubs and academy teams and has thus given me a love for football. I started under Rob Page and I'm still here supporting !! Never had the glory of the Wilder days unfortunately, only the mediocrity of Rob Page, Justin Edinburgh and now JFH.  We started only ever sitting in the Mick George family stand and always thought that there was although quiet, a general positive vibe among the supporters on that side.  For the past 6 months or so we have more often been sitting in the West stand, where arguably the atmosphere is a little louder - but not always in a positive way. Lots of jeering towards JFH - some I can understand, but overall I don't think it helps the manager or the players. Yes, I too get p** off with some of the 'performances', but I know for a fact that the jeering won't make one bit of difference.

I sadly cannot make the Bristol away game, but I will be there to cheer them on come Rotherham. I really hope we can win this fight and stay in League 1.

Sorry for the random nature of my post, but I wanted to put in perspective that I've never seen NTFC in their glory days, yet I'm still here and here to stay as a supporter.

I think as a club we haven't, and also don't look like being able to get over the Wilder departure. Baring a decent start last season, probably caused by the momentum of winning the league, everything since has been a disappointment bordering on disaster

Yeah I did kind of sense that was the problem. Lots hanging on to what 'was' and can't cope with what we have now. I totally get that.

Ironically, I just looked back and my first game was 1st October 2016 - vs..... Bristol Rovers (2-3). I really hope we can beat them Saturday, but fear another 5-1 pumping.

Bang on.

Siege mentality from now on. As fans all you can do is create an intimidating atmosphere, do it. Just like the Rovers play off game, every game.

Good call.

I'm just not sure that, with so many games to play, the team will be really "up"for this one.

If it gets to the wire, then, I suspect Walsall away is the one that the team will show up for......

But, real respect and love to those that make it to Brizzel.

Good post and interesting to read. Good observation by you on the jeering side of things, as if it ever helps.
