More effort with the 10 men - not pretty but a good point

Great point especially as it sounds like we were under the cosh for the majority of the match - comes at a big cost though with crooks out for 3 matches and what looks like an injury to jjot.

Crook's absence may be an opportunity for Mcwilliams to step up. The lack of discipline is embarrassing. Crooks has the swagger of a school boy from Byker Grove. Hildeberto behaves like a big baby and Long winds up fans for no real reason.

Right now , we are one of the worst four teams in the division and deserve to go down . JFH has not got us playing to our strengths or with any pattern. We are poor and the away results we are scraping are papering over the cracks . Bunney is an almighty disaster and is not suitable in any way to this team

We've just got an excellent away point and you come on here with your negative comments like you always do. How about giving some positives for once.

Good point but if I was a rovers fan I’d be disappointed they didn’t give it a go when we went down to 10....the onslaught never came and we saw out time pretty comfortably.may be a crucial point at the end of the season...we did ok!! They hit the bar, had one cleared off the line and forced O’Donnell into a decent save. Overall a decent point...certainly didn’t deserve all three!
We looked good with two up top....but crooks sending off soon saw us back to one.

Looked mobile and strong. Nice finish for the goal...if we play more direct he’ll be an asset!

A good point away from home but plenty of food for thought for Jimmy. Firstly he needs to make a decision about left back before it costs us too much, it is obvious that every opposition that we come up against are going to target Bunney - either Turnbull needs to shift across or buchs has got to come back in and then he can move Bunney into a more advanced position. Secondly if Van veen ever gets fit again there must be now be a temptation to drop long and go with big kev and vv. Thirdly the problem with crooks’ suspension is that as we’ve seen before jimmy dropped jjot back to a deeper midfield role and he/we didn’t look comfortable - I would much prefer McWilliams or foley in the centre of midfield to give more bite. Finally how to accommodate pereira is becoming an issue - by all accounts he improved us when he came on and we need to find a way to fit him in.

Crooks was a muppet he fouled the same bloke just before and played straight into his hands for the second. Total liability..

Under Wilder, O’Tooles best position was as a deep lying midfielder in my opinion. That said he’s moved forward and done well due to the lack of attacking options. Personally I’d like to see McWilliams play as he can pick a pass, likes to get stuck in and he’s one of our own. Full back is a headache undoubtedly as Bunney is getting targetted as a weak spot. Is his crossing and getting forward worth the risk in our position? Facey at right back. Either Turnbull or Buchanan at left back. Two up front.

I think someone should just take this city of Peterborough and just... just flush it down the f***in' toilet

I thought we deserved a point. 1st half was poor but we had a few chances, 2nd half much improved. The effort was definitely there and the new striker looks just what we need, I think he won everything that came his way!
Bunney an obvious weak link, not sure shouting abuse at him will help though.

I agree entirely, I feel for bunney but jimmy's got to realise that he's being exposed - if he gets off to a shaky start against Rotherham next week I dread to think the grief that some of our fans will give him.

Bunney is a liability, no doubt. The number of times he gets done one on one is embarrassing. His positional play is rubbish and he currently offers nothing going forward. If JFH won't play Buchanan, he has to play Turnbull at leftback . We got away with a point today largely because Rovers were poor in the final third. The decision to send Crooks off was a poor one, even if he should have been sent off 60 secs before.

The comments on their site are a bit OTT. They played the nicer football by far but there was no huge gulf in class at all. The fact it ended 1-1 and that we only had 10 men for a period of time suggests they may want to question why they didn't win.
