Hi Roger, sorry but our most hated rivals??? Haven't seen much evidence of hate from the fans when you consider one of our main sponsors is from Peterborough and sponsors them too (mr skippy crap) and none when DC was all pally with their chairman and even arranged a preseason friendly, again with no protests from fans nor Trust.
OK then Derek, who would you consider to be our most hated rivals ? By the way, DC was obviously pally with lots of devious characters, sponsors can come from anywhere I don't think any club in the world would turn down cash because the company was based in a rivals home town.

thats the point Roger we don't have an hated anything or anyone. Think you we find quite a few examples of clubs turning down cash due to rivals. It's not about the club, it's how the fans react or question it. So you are happy that their previous main sponsor (and still big sponsor) runs around our pitch at half time in a costume promoting their 'hated rivals' based business?
You say they are hated rivals, I am just saying i don't see much evidence of hate anymore, more of acceptance that they are a bigger, better club. Just like when we played the pre-season friendly, we were league 2 them Championship, our Trust should have been making loud noises telling DC we don't want a friendly game against our 'hated rivals' and especially when they were 2 leagues above us.
But no it's easier to have a cheap shot at Beds

No hatred Random! Totally wrong and I suggest you join the hundreds of Cobblers fans around the 'Cherry Tree' pub on the Oundle Road before the game on Easter Monday and you will see plenty of noisy hatred towards Posh fans!

Any rivalry has long died due to our inability to match them on the pitch and our vastly differing respective expectations ie, they regard failure to get promotion to the championship a poor season while we regard avoiding dropping into the fourth tier a major success! Our game in 1972 saw Peterborough, 1-0 winners and crowned champions at the old CG in a game that ended our slim promotion hopes, was probably the last meaningful game between the sides. If only we could go there next month and not get twatted 3 to nil and for once win a game when it really matters with lots riding on it, maybe it could again become a 'rivalry ' and not a shooting fish in a barrel exercise as it has been for decade's. You need to earn your rivalry like we have v cov oxford mk and even luton and we haven't in this one.

It's the point of using the word 'hated'...laughable! Tiresomely predictable songs from a group of kids hardly equates to 'hated'! Try looking at other derbies! Oh and I'll be Posh all the way this Saturday!

Why, what do other clubs do in derbies? Other than the same songs sang over and over?

Maybe if you live in Oxford there are "other derbies" but not to the vast majority of Cobblers fans

They have championship ambitions and the infrastructure to attain it and it looks like we're now helping with £78,000 to finance the smooth transition. Good luck to them.
Weren’t they in the Championship and got relegated, not a good example? A better one would be Rotherham, who were in division one when taken over by Tony Stewart. Due to being worth 180 million he was able to secure the finance for the building of the 17 million New York Stadium. He has also put in 30 million of his own money which has now seen them progress to, er, division 1.

£24 for the North Stand, £26 for P*sh, splitting hairs. We'd complaining at some of those Championship prices, chance would be a fine thing. Any game against the old enemy feels like a nostalgic trip down memory lane these days. Throughout the majority of my 40 odd supporting years we have been the poor relation. Apart from most over 40 somethings, there is probably more rivalry with Luton, Oxford and the MK Dons. We're probably their second rivals after Cambridge anyway.

Coventry have become a significant rival in recent times due to cardoza facilitating there year and a bit exile in our fine town.. the ungrateful feckers. 😉
