Was going to get mine after work today but they closed at 5pm. I thought they stayed open until 7pm on a Thurs before a Sat home game?

From the website:

The Ticket Office and Club Store opening hours are:

Monday 10am to 5pm
Tuesday 10am to 5pm
Wednesday 10am to 5pm
Thursday 10am to 5pm
Friday 10am to 5pm
Saturday 10am to 5pm on home event days and 9am to noon if Northampton Town are away. If Northampton Town are not playing on that day, we are closed.

I bought mine yesterday. Not sure really sure I want them now. I can only see another spanking the way JFH has us going at the minute. It has the making of a very unpleasant afternoon.

Having thought about it, I think there is a line that you need to draw and for me it's £26 to watch League One football. So no, I won't be there. We hardly ever win there, it's not exactly easy to get to unless you want to drive or go with the rest of the window lickers and it's on a poxy Monday as well.

Yes, indeed! I will be there (missed last season) but four hour bus journey (but only £14!) to Leicester on the Saturday, train to Peterborough on the Monday and back to Oxford Tues morning also has me questioning (my sanity)  Shocked

I'm in Morecambe the week after and it's £26 in their premier stand to see them play Carlisle.

threeinabed, no it is a lot more than that I only paid £380 for my season ticket at sixfields, anyway I just hate Scumdon Road so for me £26 for that hole is way to much.

Would it not be more straight fwd just to say 'not going'? I often cannot justify the money required to go on away games especially the long-distance ones. I agree the Peterborough tickets are extortionate, but its the chance of a victory there which drives me. To say you cannot afford it/or at least the principal wears a bit thin when most of you guys spend a fortune on beer as well! Just cut down on the booze for one game?

We have all of our group going (11) because it is and has always been a great day out.
£2 or £3 extra does not affect our decision! We meet at Oundle first then finish at the Cherry Tree. Hopefully the game will be a bonus.

Much better than sitting on the settee twiddling your thumbs.

Hope your pal Marquis will reconsider his decision to boycott this game. Can you not all chip in for his beer plus £1 each towards his ticket.

It's not a boycott, I'm just not going. If all fans did the same then they'd soon drop their prices.

Now taking the easy option (forget fours hours on a bus and three days away)...£19.75 return from Kings Cross!

As for Boro being our rivals, and people banging on about other derbies. Well... I fcuking hate them. I know of plenty of them that feel the same about us. I agree it is a bit out dated and out moded, but so are nearly all local rivalries and derbies these days. I've been to them all over years ago, and been to a lot of them in recent years. They are nearly all sanitised affairs, with small pockets of trouble. None of them resemble anything like what they did when I was young. I can't think of a ground where I would worry about attending these days.

Maybe not the grounds but I'd still be cautious having a pint with a non local accent in certain pubs around Grangetown, Cardiff and South Bermondsey.

Correct. It's only the spinelessness of English fans in respect of standing up to ticket price inflation that allows them to get away with it.
