If you believe that JFH will avoid relegation then he wont be with this club if/when we go down.
The only hope is, if other teams dont pick up any more points....
Other than a resignation by JFH how do we pay him off?

I think you are 100% spot on regarding fans opinion on Grimes and Bunney.
Most will agree on poor old Bunney but if Grimes was playing to avoid a yellow then that might have affected his performance. No doubt my excuse for his poor performance on Saturday will be 'rubbished' on Tuesday.

Urgh. I didn't go to the game on saturday and havent been on here over the weekend. But Jesus the thread is depressing. 8 pages!. After I quick look I've only seen two posters that have any sense (wolvo and everbrite).
I didn't want Wilder sacked at that point. I wanted Page to go. I wasn't fussed when Edinburgh went. I don't really want Jimmy to go. There is absolutely no point in sacking him now.

Spot on re: Wilder - the only manager we've had in the last few years who hasn't been stubborn in his ways and who has actually had a connection to the fans.
You want to have a look at the links Wolvo has provided as CW was being cursed for being stubborn! It was only by 2015 that he began to have a decent relationship with the fans. He had to take a lot of stick in 2014 and some of 2015.

You said more or less the same thing about CW! (About Dec 2014 in the CW Sackingthread).
You are a sad excuse for a human being Nevers!

Everyone is talking sense, even Beds. They just have different views to you.

I can't make Tuesday because of work commitments and am actually glad that I cannot go. Unless he sees the light and changes things round significantly then there is only 1 result I can see and that is another goalless display and a defeat. I really wanted Jimmy to work out but he doesn't seem to be able to change his ways at all. It is pretty obvious that players are being played out of position and Bunney needs to be taken out of the firing line for his own sake.
Looking at the remaining fixtures and taking into account our much better away form I can see the following results
Shrews 0pts Fleetwood 3pts Charton 0pt S.....1pt Blackpool 0pts Bury 3pts Argyle 0pt Wallsall 1pts Oldham 3pts
That puts us on 50 and might keep us up, if Jimmy has an epiphany and realises he needs to play players in the right position and play those in form then we should be abler to get the points we need as the squad is good enough, in my opinion. However I am not optimistic and although I don't think Kelvin will change things before the end of the season now, Jimmy will be gone at the end of the season.

CW gained a rapport with fans really quickly, it wained a bit when we had our awful spell the next year but didn't take long to build back up.
When it started to go wrong the season after the miraculous survival the majority of fans were more patient than usual as he had earnt that, I can't remember much discontent in the stands.
When we went through that horrific spell (12 defeats in 15 - or something like that) understandably patience was running out.
A fan that isn't happy surely bases their opinion on a manager on if they can see it changing / improving if things stay as they are and that surely is the vital point here. Will our home performances / results improve if Jimmy stays?
As for recycling posts based on Wilder it doesn't really prove anything. You don't need history and old posts to form an opinion on the competence (or lack of) of our latest offering of a s*** manager.

I haven’t had the stomach to read any reports or comments since Saturday due to the disappointment felt. Why do all managers we have had in recent times over complicate matters ? Play players in the right positions , put out a balanced side and drop players that don’t perform. It’s not difficult . Hasselbaink has made us into the worst team in this league by far . There is no structure , no pattern , no leadership and no affinity with the fans . Except we can’t get rid of him and now have to trust he will muster something up that he has been unable to do so far . I’m dreading Peterborough and tomorrow’s game . We are a shambles.

Have a quick read of the opening post(s) from this thread: http://www.smfserver.com/forums/thehotelend/index.php?topic=9622.0Fans were calling for him to be sacked after 2 months? Absolutely zero rapport with a lot of our fans. Fans claiming we'd signed too many loan players etc (the usual stuff you hear when you're in the relegation zone, but not when you're top of the league). I understand memory changes over the course of time, but it really wasn't how you remember it. Most of the fans were wrong, and the manager eventually got it right given a 3rd season. The reason I highlight Wilder, is because he is the last manager we stuck with through a rough patch (a rough patch that appeared to last a full calendar year or so with some fans?). We absolutely cannot keep sacking managers aiming for quick fix after quick fix. I'll be there tomorrow supporting the team. I fear we need the support more than ever, but I think any positive vibes have long left our home matches.

He was given time because he came in when were in an impossible position and earnt the right to be given more time. Gray was given time after we went down, that didn't work out too well did it? The positive vibes have left Sixfields because of the constant s*** that Jimmy keeps creating. I've said it before in other posts but how many fans there on saturday go to away games? If your only exposure to the Cobblers is games at Sixfields then our upturn in away results / performances can only increase their frustrations. 19 home games - 10 defeats - not scored in 10. Anybody that doesn't understand fans anger / disappointment / frustration / appetite for change needs their bumps felt.

The thread I referred you to there, was one after 2 months whilst he was midway through performing a miracle. Fans wanted him sacked that quickly. Taking over a team bottom placed is much harder than most gave Wilder credit for at the time. I feel we're in the same boat this time around.

Just out of interest take away all of the results (four for each team) in L1 pre Jimmy and recalculate our league position.
