Also, that's two managers this season that Posh have seen off...I know Edinburgh had that meaningless 'win' over Cambridge after his defeat to them but it was the Boro defeat that surely ended his reign.

Assisted by Jon Brady. Pemberton has also left.

A shame in some ways as he struck me as a decent sort of bloke, but he was bloody clueless and had to go.

Some hope now! Let's go for it. Hasselbaink isn't a bad man BUT he was a dreadful manager. Rejoice!!!!

Shame in my view but I fully support Dean and Jon in their new position leading the team. Wonder who we will be sacking in six months time?

Ok, but that's how people thought each time the manager was deemed to be failing. You've only got to check back to the previous threads and the insults to each manager on here were very similar, if not worse. Think about it, this isn't JFH's first job as manager and he was one on the best players of his generation. It's not working for him right now but no matter what people think he's not suddenly turned into a complete imbecile. I think most people deep down know this but are so desperate for the club not to be relegated they will grab at any straw and there is a belief that a new manager will miraculously turn things around and we will immediately produce promotion form to save the day. I think a knee jerk reaction now will waste even more of the clubs limited resources with no likelihood of changing anything. Sorry.
We agree on the general but agree to differ on the specific- mute point now it would seem but I’m absolutely convinced if the man was in charge next season there is nothing to suggest we would be be any better than this season - and I think we can do better......

Now the inevitable has happened, we all need to get behind Dean, Jon and the players. It's miracle territory but you never know.

I don't disagree with the decision but it's our 3 or 4th Manager in a year and 18 months it's never enjoyable to see a man lose his job. Poor stuff from you to gloat over his demise; normally I would expect you to be above such comments.

Jimmy will end up with thousands of pounds for being awful at his job. I wouldn't feel that sorry for him.

I find it interesting that they’ve sacked the men either side of Austin in the hierarchy in Jimmy and Pemberton but kept him on. Does this suggest Austin as assistant was a club appointment rather than Jimmy and Jimmy brought Pemberton in? Does Thomas feel that Austin was marginalised by the other two?
Am I clutching at straws?
One thing is for sure, if Austin wants this to be a free hit audition for this or another top job he will completely change the style of play.
