Now the inevitable has happened, we all need to get behind Dean, Jon and the players. It's miracle territory but you never know.
But at least we have a chance now, it might be a small one but it's a chance

I don't disagree with the decision but it's our 3 or 4th Manager in a year and it's never enjoyable to see a man lose his job. Poor stuff from you to gloat over his demise; normally I would expect you to be above such comments.
It’s fair enough to not be happy about this. I generally hate us changing managers as it means either a) we’re in the brown stuff or b) we’ve had a decent manager nabbed from us.

Oh stop being so patronizing - don’t you realize every time you cheer a cobblers goal (admittedly in short supply recently) there are an equal number of opposition fans very disappointed - life is about emotions and passion and whilst I’ve nothing against the man personally JFH due to his inabilities has done this club a great deal of harm that may have much more serious consequences that simple relegation - so f*** you and it’s a hurrah from me too as a true supporter who wants what’s best for my club

Great news but alas its too late. He should have gone after the Rovrum game IMO.
Good Luck to Austin hopefully he can rally the troops so we go down fighting..

I personally think we have less chance. 95% chance of relegation now at 99%. If Austin keeps us up he will be known as Lazarus from this day forward. We should not give up until we mathematically down and also find out what Jimmy Glass is up to nowadays.

He really was clutching at straws at the end and that showed on the pitch. The last 3 games have been awful and have effectively relegated us, due to his poor and negative tactics and constant changing of the team. At least i have a bit more hope going into next season now and will be renewing my season ticket . Could this have been something to do with him being sacked tonight , a lot of people saying they too would not renew with him in charge?

He can't have gone because all of all The posters in the know, without question, said we couldn't afford to sack him.
More buckets?

Give it a rest God!! I was totally and utterly fed up with his style of play, tactics, formations, player selections, man management, post match interviews, pre match interviews, actions during the match, in fact just about everything. Face facts....he just wasn't a very good manager for us.......and that's all that matters at the end of the day. Plus...I beg to differ.....in any walk of life, if you see someone who is incompetent then yes, I like to see them lose their jobs.......TV presenters, politicians, football managers, shop workers....whatever.

It's called a different point of view. You do know what that is don't you? The fact is that we will never know for sure either way.

I don’t have one ounce of sympathy for JFH he’s virtually destroyed our chances of div1 football next season we’ve been poor all season I thought after his January clear out/ revolution things would be better all it proves is he never had a clue what he was doing in the first places

It doesn't matter who we bring in come January, with this clown in charge his insipid football will take us down.

I think it is fair and reasonable for fans to vent their spleen. Many have paid a lot of wonga this season to be served up s***e. Football (like all professional sports) requires success, and requires those involved to be able to take the stick when things go wrong. (And, for those that have never played sport at any decent level, you need to know that they must also be able to take the verbals when face to face with the opposition). No snowflakes required. Anyone who takes the job knows that. Otherwise, let's just employ all the nice people, and suffer the consequences.
The key thing is going to be how the players react to this. If they down tools, then, the broom has not swept far enough. If they suddenly perform, then it may the bad root-stock has been weeded out.
There is no sentiment in professional football. Just a lot of money for those that can either succeed, or blag their way through.

Part of me would be furious if suddenly the players become world beaters and throw themselves into every tackle.

However defendable a decision to sack the guy, it’s strange timing. Another bad decision by KT, unless we stay up of course with some kind of miracle. A month too late. We clearly have plenty of ££££ still. You’ve almost got to hope we are conclusively relegated because if it’s by a couple of points it’ll be really rubbing salt in the wounds.

Happens all the time. What if Austin creates an atmosphere and style of play they all buy into, what if he sends them out fired up, believing they can win rather than being lectured pre-match about the need to keep it tight and hope we can grab a point or 3.
