I am disgusted with the way the club have treated David Buchanan.
A model professional who gave everything for his club and always showed his true emotions.
Never wanted to miss a game and quite frankly should still be in the starting 11.

I wouldn't disagree, Mrs Buchanan.

Well said Mrs B, if we're choosing between him and Bunney there is no contest!

It's not the club treating him badly, it's JFH.

Jimmy is stubborn and won't recall buchs anytime soon - if he does "rest" bunney he's far more likely to shift turnbull and bring in Barnett which would be another mistake in my opinion, we need to bring Poole back in from the wilderness.

I must be the only Cobblers fan that doesn't particularly like Buchs (mainly because of his social media) but even I can see he has to be in the team above Bunney.

No Bri, I agree regarding some of his views on social media.
Footballing wise, I'd have him in the team currently though.

He is being hailed as though he is going to somehow save our season. It is funny how short people's memories are and how poor he'd been before being dropped. I guess we need something to cling onto as we slide into league two with a whimper.

I agree, I don't see Buchs as being the answer to our saviour. There is no doubting his commitment to the cause though, and you might get a bit more fight out of him than others.

I agree with comments regarding his social media. Also Mrs Buchanan has got more than enough to say on there too!

Dave was a great player for us with a fight and desire probably unmatched in the team he played.
The main and probably only issue with Dave was his costly lack of pace. This was only getting worse, not his fault that you get slower as you get older but he is never going to miraculously regain his youth. Bunney so far is a poor but quite quick left back.
Bunney can get better with the correct coaching. Dave is never going to get any quicker.
End of the story. Sorry.

He was being demonised as part of the problem in our previous spell of bad form.

I think that’s the point - yes pace slowing but here is guy that even if he lost the ball still went after the man or cut in to cover elsewhere - to get out of this mess we need grafters not necessarily even the best players & he would be on my team sheet ahead of most at the moment.

Strange but true....his last appearance for us was in the 3-1 win over Southend......

and wrongly, in my opinion. Buchs played the first half of the season with no natural width in front him. No one to provide cover, no one to overlap with. the irony is that buchs was asked to perform the role of a wing back, and he isn't one, whilst Bunney is playing in flat back four, with a winger ahead of him, but he cannot defend. Its madness!
