I really don't believe sacking him now will save us from relegation. But, sadly, I do think its our only chance.

I'd sack him now just for the change. I'm bored with his uselessness now. Even if we get someone new and they don't keep us up it has to be better than what we're currently getting served up

There's a great theory that the manager represents the fans' boss at work or their teacher at school and the players are their colleagues and mates.
This would account for the hatred of the manager - lions led by donkeys and all that but might be a bit deep for this board.

Alas we have donkeys on the pitch too.. I Don’t think they have any pride in the shirt, just journeymen picking up their wages...

Agreed. But it's down to the manager to do something about that. They're his players afterall.

Question- what managers are out of a job that might do a job? What managers might we tempt from a job to join us?

Someone like Steve Cotterill would at least have the players giving their all in each game.

Jimmy was my first choice when we finally sacked Justin and I was really happy that we landed him. But he's been an absolute failure. And if he's not sacked, then I predict lowest season ticket sales for many many years.

Always a hard question to give a reply to Shadowstorm. Wilder was a surprise choice and was one of DCs better choices, but not many fans would have suggested him. Kevin Wilkin would be a good shout.
My main question is can the supporters trust KT to get it right ??  He doesn't seem to have much luck at it so maybe the supporters can do better.

Wilkin, Coterill or Rosler would be my top 3 picks.

Maybe it is time for a Wilkin

I understand that we are under considerable pressure NOT to sack JFH to keep up the percentage of black or ethic minority managers in the English leagues

If that has any truth to it at all that is totally ridiculous. Jimmy should be assessed on ability and results alone

Thought he was a poor appointment but got behind him - as I've done with every previous manager. He started by saying that he had inherited a talented squad. Since then, he's blamed the players, then the fans, then the Club and finally the refs. He's been supported in signing 10 players but hasn't identified his best team and constantly changes formation. I still think that a motivator with half an idea in how to coach might just keep us up. Think I heard that today was Fleetwood's 1st home win since October and also Rotherham continued their poor run of form with another defeat - oh, except for the easy win we handed them.

Would we do any worse if we gave him the boot and let a senior pro see it through. With JFH we are down...

Other names to throw in John Askey at Mac has done well being linked with lots of jobs. Paul Dodswell at Sutton, A in worth at Wycombe as much as I hate him keeps getting results and tidsdale at Exeter too.

Loads of names out there

I am currently in two camps at the moment, namely that I feel the JFH will either be sacked now or at the end of the season come relegation. I have been a advocate of keeping him because the ever changing of the guard could/is bringing an amount of instability to the team. However his record is not to far from the one QPR sacked him for.

So hence the question of what's out there that could be an improvement, we need to win 4/5 from the next 7 and I'm just not sure where this is going to come from considering the form, tactics and tinkering. I'm not even sure we will get them if JFH goes, it's a big risk and is that a shrewd thing.

One thing is for sure the way I see it if we do go down only auto promotion will do, Can't see the Chinese owner happy with anything else, after all there deal relys on NTFC being successful to generate good PR in China and surround area.
