Now, it's not going to happen, but to survive what do we need?

6 points over Easter a must for me, Wimbledon host Fleetwood on Good Friday, so if Fleetwood nick a win and we beat Charlton we'll be out of the relegation zone.

There's still 3 teams down there with us, yes they've got games in hand but they've got to win them. 4 wins may do it, Charlton, Blackpool, Bury, Walsall, Oldham all very winnable.

(God that was tough to find any positives - but it's easier than watching the last 7 games in a depressed fog!)

Most season had seen team relegated on 52pts or less. The magic number would be 52pts (4 wins). However my thoughts are that 55pts (5 wins) might be more closer. I base this on how close it is down there and the number of teams close to us with way to many games in hand.

What about some positive predictions from you for the remaining games?
As you claim to have these coaching badges...perhaps you could advise JFH where the points to keep us safe will come from?

We are like an old banger of a car that needs to be driven 100 miles to get you back home,  it has a lack of coolant in the engine that also rattles and vibrates and you have less than a quarter tank of fuel. The weather is cold and wet and its up hill all the way...
Does it get you home?
I would take my chance driving the car before trusting that team with a weak midfield and front line devoid of goals to gain the required 12 points from 21.
At least the jalopy will make the effort before conking out.

As I've said elsewhere on this forum, 4 wins minimum couple of draws would see us stay up. The wins to come against Charlton, Blackpool, Walsall & Oldham. Draws against Plymouth & Bury. Don't rule out a dramatic game at Boro also.

That's my Mystic Meg predictions now I'll go for a lie down  Wink

We need 4 wins from 7 .
We will get no wins and 2 more points .
It will turn toxic and all the players on loan and with get out clauses will clear off to Ibiza come May and never return to Sixfields again .

Are you suggesting my predictions are not possible?

We're on a bad run of form, but I can't see us staying on a bad run for the rest of the season. At some point we'll get results, starting on Friday (hopefully).

Whilst it is hard being positive after watching yesterday’s match, i think the inconsistency of our play may result in getting the 12 pts we need.

Friday is winnable, Monday for me is not so 3 pts out of the next 2 matches is my mini target.

On our day we can get a result against anyone.....its just that those days are few and far between.

How a team could go from the "in your face" performance against the Shrews to the "stand off and watch" performance against the Cods is incredible.

I'd have a little bit of sympathy for the manager here.....same formation, 10 of the 11 same personnel, two totally different attitudes and performances.

I think we still need to get to 52 points, such is our goal difference. You might as well give the teams around us another point because ours is so bad.

We have to hope we stay ahead of Rochdale and MK (both of whom can overtake us with their games in hand) and then pick ONE, just one team above us to catch up with. Oldhams 3 games in hand mean they should pick up one win surely.....which in effect puts them 4 points ahead of us. However we still have to play them...similarly Walsall. So wins against either of them would be doubly important.
We can't affect AFC W's performances, but I think they are the ones we have to catch.....

And watch us bring everyone back for corners when we're winning 20-0 in desperate need of the elusive 21st.

48 points will do it this season.

Too many teams playing one another (else playing teams in the promotion/play-off mix), for the dead-wood to suddenly grab loads of points.

Love you all....

As long as we have a chance we should not give up. We may only need say 48 points to stay up, who knows?
